YoYoJam Spin Faktor
Yup, this is my review on the YoYoJam Spin Faktor. If you disagree with anything or find any errors in this review, copy and paste the error or whatever and email it to me. I will try to accomodate your request as soon as possible.

Intro: YoYoJam has been making this yo-yo for about a year now, I think. It is a pretty good all-around yo-yo, epecially for being a butterfly ball bearing yo-yo. I don't think there are any mods or anything you can really change about this yo-yo. Also, I don't think you really need to change this yo-yo too much to get it to work superbly. I do have a few tips near the end.

Appearance: This yo-yo looks really kewl. It's metal rims looks cool while you're doing spinning tricks like cold fusion and braintwister combos. Have you ever heard of those little pogs that you collect and they have cool designs on them? Well, I have a bunch of them and they fit perfectly on the regular pogs of the SF. They make really cool designs when they spin. It also has these rubber rings around the edges to protect the yo-yo from grounding and to protect your hand and fingers IF it snags. I also took a red SF and a black SF and combined them so now I have two red and black ones! Kewl, huh? Here's a couple pics of the different Spin Faktors. All credits go to Dave's Yo-yo Store.

Play: This yo-yo, as I mentioned before, plays awesome. It is not the best looping yo-yo, but you can do a few loops with it. It's really good for Over the Falls and I heard that it was pretty good for Shoot The Moon too. Of course, it's main strength is String Tricks and sleeping. The Balance on this yo-yo is incredible. If you throw a wobbly sleeper, it straightens itself out! This yo-yo also has like 60% or so of it's weight around the rims, for incredibly long sleepers. It also has a twist-adjustable gap which is is actually quite handy. I normally play with mine either all the way closed, or like a 3rd of a turn open. The reason for not opening it so wide, like some people I know, is that I like it responsive. I don't like having to pull up on it like 5 times before it returns. But, as I said, it can sleep really long and it is really smooth, this means for awesome string tricks. After you break in the bearing, it works awesome, it slides on everything. I can do all of my string tricks on it with ease. It also has a really different return system. It has recessed little circles. This actually works incredibly well. Icomes up when you want it to, and it doesn't when you don't want it to. Great Yo-yo, I love it.

Feel: It's a really comfortable yo-yo, to me anyways. I like the shape. It's really well balanced. It has rubber gins around the edges to protect your fingers. There's not much else to say. Again, Very nice shape.

Injuries: None so far, except a few strings burns and I think I might have had a few jammed fingers at one time. The jammed fingers doesn't happen too often, it's usually your fault of you get hurt.

Tips:

#1- Soak The bearing in Alcohol once a month or every 2 weeks. Only soak it for around 30 mins though. When you take it out of the Alcohol, put a teeny tiny drop of really thin lube (brain lube or high-roller oil from
The Yo-yo Store)
#2- Take the pogs off really gently, try using a really thin screwdriver and tapping it with something. Again, be really careful.
#3- When you take the pogs off, use a hole-puncher and if you have extreme hand strength, punch a hole near the side. If you don't have extreme hand strength, make a hole as far as you can, and then squeeze the hole puncher with some plyers or a vice. Get rid of the little circle. Put the pogs back on. When you play with it with the little holes, it make a whistling sound. You can also put string under the pogs.
#4- Use Slick 6 string.

Well, that's it. I told you there wasn't too much to do to this yo-yo. I really like it without the pogs on for some reason. :) TTYL -sicyo
