Wulfgar : Father of Merick and Mondain. King of Akalabeth (part of Sosoria).

Merick: Wulfgars firstborn son, Yallum, Ruby, and S'karlett's father

Mondain: Wulfgars second born son, murderer of Wulfgar to obtain the crown

Gridan: Merick's wife and mother to Yallum, Ruby, and S'karlett. Hero of the Frost Giants.

Yallum: First born son of Merick and Gridan. Hates Ruby and claims the throne for himself.

The Lady Melody: Lady of the Court, mother to Jadellion, Yallums concubine. Betrayer of Ruby.

Jadellion (Jad): Bastard son of Yallum and the Lady Melody.

Ruby: First born daughter of Merick and Gridan, later to become Queen when Merick and Yallum are disinherited by the Mage host.

S'karlett: Identical twin sister of Ruby, taken from Yoran at birth by her nurse Yana to live in Sosoria.

Garrick: Prince of Kepedia, betrothed to Ruby, killed on their wedding day.

Nana: Ruby's nurse and companion.

Yoran Mage Host: Created by Merick to cover for his absences during his initial chaos studies.

Order Council of Mages: The ultimate word of Order within Yoran. Protectors of Order.

Order Clarion Veritor (Darius Krag): Ruby's Order master teacher.

Order Archmage Basarius: Leader of the Order Council of Mages. The man who ultimately disinherits Merick and Yallum, and brings Ruby to power.

Bringers of Chaos: Powerful mages from the ten planes, also referred to as the Chaos Council. They would become Merick and Yallums council after Order disinherits them.

Stoneface: Chaos Council Harbinger and assassin. Bane of Owen Deathstalker.

Harold Wolf, The Sherrif of Corwinal: Magistrate of Corwinal, capital of Yoran.

Waylan Wolf: The sherrif of Corwinals son. General in the Yoranian army.

Order Knights: Defenders of The Royal Court and Queen Ruby. Primarily Paladins. Later to become the Royal Crimson Guard in Sosoria.

Mentick: Court Senschenal, later to betray Ruby in Sosoria.

Managuense: Order Knight. Later to become Duke Managuense and marry the Lady Brin in Sosoria. Upon her death, becomes betrothed to Ruby but falls victim to 'the curse'. Possessed by a deamon.

Sir Sklar: Member of the Yoranian Army under General Waylan Wolf. Married to Lady Dana in Yoran, but loses her to an unkind fate. Possessed by deamons, he follows Ruby to Sosoria and becomes betrothed later to the Princess S'karlett.

Owen Deathstalker: Mercenary and assassin. Ultimately loyal to Queen Ruby Flash. Seeks Stoneface for the revenge of his wifes murder.

Alrich Stormhand: Leader of the Stormhand Frost Giant tribe that befriended Gridan during her pregnancy.

Ulrich Stormhand: Alrichs son, becomes leader of the Stormhand tribe, ultimately betrays Ruby.

Yoran: Even when part of Sosoria, it was so isolated that few ventured into its environs. During the Order/Chaos wars, Yoran was 'splintered' from this plane of existance.

Akalabeth: Land where Wulfgar was king, and from which Merick ran to escape his brother Mondain and to study magic. Akalabeth no longer exists on Sosorian maps.

Corwinal: Capital city of Yoran, where Ruby lived.

Shatterback Mountains: Frozen wastes of the north of Yoran, where the Frost Giant tribes live.

Dysonar Swamps: The mouth of the Ishanor River, a place of evil and death.

The Great Desert (S'velt): Covers southern Yoran, a place filled with nomadic tribes.

Kepedia: Trading outpost city in the souther part of the Great desert, where Prince Garrick was from.

The Divide: Mountains covering the eastern part of Yoran.

The Dark Hills: An area within the Divide, where Merrick built his dark tower, Mordred.

Ishanor River: Flows from Shatterback mountains to Dysanor swamps. Corwinal is on it's western banks.

Valley of Shadows: Final battle between chaos and order mages takes place here, as does the ritual of splintering that ends the ancient war of alignments in the dark hiss as well as isolates Yoran from Sosoria.

Griffon Highlands: North of Corwinal and sight of strategic battle between Order and Chaos during Ruby's campaign to recapture Yoran from Merick and the Bringers of Chaos. Also the place where Yallum returns with Necrodious Blacksoul's undead minions to march on Corwinal after Ulrich's betrayal of Ruby.

Tremor Plains: Plains to the east of Corwinal, where Ruby and her followers were banned after the betrayal and subsequent defeat.

Pareck Point: Yallums place of betrayal of the Stormhand tribe led by Ulrich after he assists in weakening and betraying the Royal Court of Queen Ruby.

Jacorick Break: Place of the first battle in the Shatterback Mountains between the Chaos and Order forces of Yallum and Ruby.

Solstice Pass: Only place in the Divide that could be crossed during the summer betwen Yoran and the rest of Sosoria. Sight of Order's invasion of Yoran in the opening stages of the War of Alignments. The only place now that can be used for transport between the two plains of existance.
