The Contest for Stone Gargoyles; Ore
Elemental Hunting
When we gathered for the weekly group hunt we were told we'd be splitting into three teams to hold a contest: go to T2A and hunt stone gargoyles; you have two hours; whoever returns with the most kills [gargoyle pickaxes count as 3 kills] wins! I was on Phillipe's Chick Team [Talon being the exception]. I was picked just about last *sniff*. Apparently everyone thought this Princess was useless. Well, we'll see about that.

It seems we wandered around forever looking for
stone gargoyles. I'm sure they were just really really afraid of us. Here we are
at our first gargoyle kill. This one, obviously, was too stupid to run away from
us in fear.
Now at this point there should be lots more pics of Phil's chick team bashing gargoyle's right and left, leaving only shattered stony bodies in our wake. However, after a grand total of, uh, three gargoyles, our team had to disband [RL stuff]. Thanks go to Merria for *typing typing typing* and finding new homes for us remaining members. She and Talon went off to join James' team, and I was shipped off to join Woton's team. *smug look*
I would also generally post lots of pics of my new team killing everything in sight. However, from the moment I got there, I was, uh, too busy killing everything in sight. Apparently all the gargoyle's fled north when Phil's chick team was hunting them :) But who wants lots of boring "blah blah look how good we kill stuff blah blah" pictures anyway? [also, I don't have any, hehe]... So on to the conclusion of the contest!

umm...yeah, what he said! We all waited
breathlessly for the final totals. We knew it was close, but what would the end
results be? Well James' team had 19 kills and 2 pickaxes, for a grand total of
25. However, even tho Woton's team never found a pickaxe, we did come out with
27 kills in all.

Just in case you're not good at math, that makes
us [Woton, Foghorn, Skirvin, Mahi-Mahi, and lil ol' me] the winners.

Foghorn, relishing his role in the victory [and
apparently *every* victory], had a few humble words to say about his future
draft pick status.
Unlike him, however, I will not boast. I will just quietly and humbly point out that the team who ended up, finally, with the poor lil' unwanted Princess WON. Coincidence? I don't think so. We'll see who almost gets picked last next time, shall we? So there. *Sticks out her tongue* *hmph!*
But on to the rest of the evening.

Spurred on by the desire to see if the gargoyle
pickaxes would actually produce anything [unlike previous attempts], remaining
forces meet up with Or E to go mining for Ore Elementals.
Once we got to the mines, everyone stuck pretty close to Or E. So close, in fact, that often she couldn't see the dirt to dig in. However, finally patience was rewarded and several elementals spawned over the course of the evening. I think there were 3 copper elementals, one agapite, and one, uh, blue one. Can never remember whether that's verite or valorite. Let's just say one big mean blue one, and leave it at that. Here are some pictures.

PS: In all these pictures I look like I'm
helping. But I'm not. But I could have. No really!

This time I did help kill the big mean blue one.
I mean the elemental, not the KS :)
All in all, a successful evening. An OOC thank you to Woton's team for taking me in. I still don't like sharing in the gold, but I won't complain anymore. I'll just go shopping.
