| Celtic Knot of Infinity |

| The Celtic Knot of Infinity is, for me, one of the most profound, powerful and evocative symbols that can be viewed. Within it, we have Infinity with no beginning or end and, if we concentrate on a particular piece of the knot we are reminded that without that piece the Path would be broken. Every single atom within the knot is of equal importance. We find that everything is interconnected to everything else along the meandering Path that the knot takes us. As we concentrate on one particular part of the knot we realise that, just like in Life we cannot see the "whole picture" at any one given time. Looking closer at the Path within the knot we see that the thread goes above and below, within sight and out of sight, representing the Dark and the Light, the Highs and the Lows of Life. We see that for every Light or Positive there is a Dark or Negative, but are reassured by tracing the Path of the thread that we shall surely emerge from our perceived Darkness once more into the Light. For every trough there is a peak, a peak that is attainable and which we shall successfully climb. Taking this a step further, we can see how our lives intertwine with all those other lives that we touch, however briefly and those that we interact with on a yearly, monthly, weekly, daily or on a moment to moment basis. Everything is interconnected. Essentially the Universe is Symbolically encapsulated in the Celtic Knot. The Symbolism of the Celtic Knot shows us that we are not alone, we are all part of the same "Thing", the Universe is One and we are part of that One and are that One at the same time. It sends us a message of Hope that one day we may be able to see the Whole Picture if only we could stand back far enough to see it! |
