Espio is quick and strong. He met knuckles when knuckles rescued him from one of Dr. Robotniks combi-confiners, after that Espio vowed to protect the floating island along side knuckles. The pair became friends and knuckles eventually introduced espio to the chaotix crew, which he joined. Espio has an immense drive in everything he does, like in a fight he focuses on anger rather than fear. Though useful in a fight, otherwise espio's bad temper is a weakness and he often has to be reminded by his friend Charmy Bee to 'cool it'. Espio's abilities are unique, he can scale vertical walls and use his tongue to destroy badniks. Also espio has a charge attack in which he rams enemys with his horn, and a more famouse attack, the spinning top attack, where espio spins around at super speeds to gain momentum to attack.
