Rouge the bat is an emerald hunter who introduced herself to Robotnik to offer her services. She agreed to aid him in exchange for a piece of the master emerald. Along her adventure she has a strong rivalry against knuckles because they are going head to head finding the pieces of the master emerald, also she acquires some of his skills. She was originally sent by the President to make a report on project: Shadow, and to determine whether or not Shadow is indeed the ultimate life form.
