| A spillway is an outlet system in irrigation networks. Here in Southern Alberta, where The Spillway originates, irrigation is the lifeblood of the economy. Spillways are used to regulate the water level and flow. When water builds up and puts too much pressure on the dam or reservoirs, the spillway is opened to make sure everything runs properly. In a literary sense, The Spillway is an outlet system. It is a place for writers to have their quality work published. Much of the material featured here is submitted by you, our audience.
