The Boiler Room |
In The Boiler Room, Vin plays a character named Chris Varick who is a stock broker along with Seth Davis (Giovonni Ribisi). The movie is about Seth and he is trying to get a job at a stock broaking firm. Vin is a present employee who helps Seth out, and gives him guidance. Seth realizes that there is something fishy going on and he is tryig to figure out what was going on. I won't give any more of the plot away. I really loved the movie. I normally would never have thought of renting a movie like that, but I loved it so much! No, not just because Vin is in it either. It was very fun to see Ben Affleck in it also. Of course, every other word is f#*k. It envolved a lot of voilence, profanity, and drugs. Perfect, if you ask me. My favorite part of Vin's is when he was trying to convince a Doctor to buy stock on a revolutionary new medicine, and Vin convinced him beautifully to buy the stock. He was so smooth, I loved it. The little part where he leaped over a desk to get to the phone was also a nice touch. |
Pitch Black |
Pitch Black is about a space ship that gets stranded on a strange planet. It is infested with some sort of monsters that seem to only be in dark places. That is not a problem because the planet has three suns, and it's always day time, however there is an eclipse. Yup. The monsters come out to play. They have a mixed blessing, Richard B. Riddick (Vin), who is a convicted murderer. Everyone left is terrified of him, however, he had a procedure done on his eyes so he can see in the dark. It has so many twists and turns, this was instantly my favoirte movie. Riddick is very wise, and seems to know everything. He can handle every situation as easily as if he was trimming his fingernails. He's definitely someone I'd like to go camping with. No fear of bears when you're with a guy who's bigger than most of them. |

Saving Private Ryan |
As many of you know, "Saving Private Ryan" was a movie made about WW2, and I can't describe it, honestly, you have to definitely see it. It was an excelent movie. Vin's character's name is Private Caparzo. He climbed a building to save a little girl, because he said she reminded him of his niece, although he was disobeying orders, he wanted to save the little girl. I can't really tell you any more. He didn't have a very big part, where he was actually talking, so I can't tell you a whole lot more. However, one part that I particularly found sad and interesting was Vin found some potatoes on the ground, and was eating them. Those poor men were so hungry, they had to resort to eating old potatoes off th ground. I found that part interesting. Well, I really hope you see this one if you haven't already! If you have, I recommend you see it again. |

I am one of the many people who is trying to become an actress. "Multi-Facial" shows more of a realistic side of the search of stardom. It shows how interviews, and auditions can go in the real world. It shows more of a darker side of being multi-racial in a sense. It is a movie that everyone can relate to in one way or another. Vin does an amazing monolauge talking about his father being an actor, and his story about his father wanting him to be an actor. It is very moving, and an incredible movie. I think it is Vin's best movie, although it is only 20 minutes long. |

The Fast and the Furious |
Well, Vin plays a man named Dominic, and he is the head honcho of a street gang in LA that races cars. Brian (Paul Walker) is an undercover cop, who is racing cars with them trying to figure out who is stealing expensive electrical equipment. Eventually he becomes friends with Dominic (Vin), and to make things worse, he is dating Dom's sister (Jordanna Brewster). Brian isn't sure if it's Dom, and he doesn't want to turn him in, becuase they are now friends. Vin's car is a hot and tempting 1969 Dodge Charger. Good cast, very entertaining for men and women. |

Knockaround Guys |
Vin doesn't have one of the biggest parts in this movie, but he has one hell of a fun part. He plays a man named Taylor Reece and he's friends with a man named Matty (Barry Pepper). Matty had his friend Marbles (Seth Green) help him with a job of transporting money for his mobster father when Marbles messed up. So Taylor, Matty and Marbles all have to try to find they money and stay alive so they can get the money back to his father before they all end up dead. I think it was a great movie, I reccomend it. |

A Man Apart |
XXX |

A mysterious man known as Diablo takes over a poweful drug group after the leader goes to jail. That former drug lord who is in jail is helping a DEA agent (Vin) and his partner (Larenz Tate) to help track down Diablo. Diablo killed his wife. It was pretty cheesy in parts, but overall, pretty good. Worth seeing. |
I'm sorry, but XXX was really kinda stupid. Vin ruled, of course, but I thought it was so unrealistic, Vin's character would have been killed by mobsters, druglords, and the Russian Mafia five minutes into the film. But go ahead and see it if you want, it just wasn't my cup of tea. |

The Iron Giant |
Vin does the voice of Iron Giant, and he is like a 100 foot metal man. It's an animated movie that takes place in the 50's. He is a giant that only a few people know about. One person being Hogarth Hughes. He became good friends with the Giant, and he's trying to keep him hidden, but he loves spending time with this 100 foot kid. Okay, I cry at like every movie in the world. It doesn't even have to be sad, I cried at "Lady and the Tramp", "Pitch Black", "The Family Man", "Michael", "Save the Last Dance", and of course, I cried in this, but it was aboslutely amazing. Even thought it's a cartoon, it's well worth your time! Definitely check it out! |

The Chronicles of Riddick |
I don't think the movie needs much explination because I can assume you have all seen "Pitch Black". It was nothing like "Pitch Black", but some of the same characters, so it was easy to follow and didn't need as much explination. Vin was so hot, he did a great job. Jack's character was cool. The plot... not so fantastic, but still very worth seeing. A very worthwhile way to spend 2 hours. |
