"Tropical Depression"
The storm is raging outside; The sadness is winning inside. Thunder crashes into signals; Lightning flashes in flares; Rain gently cools the earth. Memories are acting like Pringles; I just can’t stop with a singe taste. The confusion from stress and anger Creates a cry that simply blares Out into the loneliness, that not even mirth Can drown out-because of the overwhelming sadness. Holding back the tears is tough; Controlling the angry storm is more rough. Megan Delia Ratcliff 07 September 1999 |
