"Unexpected Correspondence"
My day shouldn’t be made When I bother to take a look In a particular little nook Called a mailbox (snail or electronic). However, when an unexpected surprize Is waiting, tears of joy form in my eyes. Just a note that shows someone cares Is enough to make a rough day a breeze. Sometimes the postal mule gallops along Instead of barely walking at a snail’s pace. So getting an electronic thank you For a snail letter was really unexpected; Just like the snail letter was meant to be. Megan Delia Ratcliff 02 February 2000 |
