| “Our Family’s Heart”
At the heart of our family, One man stands tall. He doesn’t stand alone, thankfully. Our family’s heart walks with God. He has a helpmate in his wife. The love they share leaves many awed. Strong, very supportive, and full of love; Our heart is stable as a solid rock. He’s someone that we all are proud of. Our family’s heart has been an example For us over all these seventy years. There’s too many things to tell, but here’s a sample. Save for a rainy day; work hard – but play too. Stand by your family through thick and thin. Show people how much they mean to you. Our family’s heart has had to be repaired A time or two, but he remains very strong. Call him Wendell, Dad, or even Grandad. We celebrate him, our family’s heart. Megan Delia Ratcliff 25 June 2003 |
