| "My Cage" I'm trapped in my gilded cage. It's so pretty in here, But I sometimes want out. The lock is on the outside; I can't get out by myself. There's One out there, Ready to let me out of my cage. I've never done anything for Him, But He wants to open my cage. I've never done anything, Not one single thing, for Him; Yet, He'll open my cage door. Why will He let me out of my cage, Since I've never done anything for Him? I just adore my lovely cage; I can do just everything in here. There is one drawback to my cage; No one ever comes from outside, Only those locked in with me are here. I guess a few float in and out, But most never return long from outside. I've never done anything for Him, But He wants to open my cage. I've never done anything, Not one single thing, for Him; Yet, He'll open my cage door. Why will He let me out of my cage, Since I've never done anything for Him? I'm not always happy in my cage; I often feel very, very lonely. The floaters are always happier outside, But would I be that happy without my cage? Maybe, I can leave my cage for a while. Wait! To get outside, I need the door opened; Yet, how do I get that door open? Him? I've never done anything for Him, But He wants to open my cage. I've never done anything, Not one single thing, for Him; Yet, He'll open my cage door. Why will He let me out of my cage, Since I've never done anything for Him? I found out why He'll let me out! It's because He loves me for always! By letting Him open my cage, I'm committing my life to Him. The door of my cage is open, Can I actually walk through it? With His help, I can do it. I'd never done anything for Him, But He wanted to open my cage. I'd never done anything, Not one single thing, for Him; Yet, He opened my cage door. Why did He open my cage door, Since I've never done anything for Him? He loves me so very much That He opened my cage door Because He knows I'll love Him. I'll go to the end of the earth for Him. He loved me before I even knew That I couldn't escape my cage of sin Without His blood shed out of love. I'd never done anything for Him, But He wanted to open my cage. I'd never done a single thing for Him, But now I'll do anything for my Lord. He gave His life for me and you; Yet, we don't give anything to Him Until we allow Him to open our cage.
