“Our Place”
There is one place Where I can face All of my troubles. I can’t got there often, But my hard life does soften When I am in that one place, Where I can face All of my awful troubles. You are a part of that place. And just seeing your face Releases all of my woes, From my head to my toes, Because I truly know That if I just say “Yo!” You’ll turn and see my face In that one special place, Where all of my troubles flee. I look for your face In one special place; And I know I’ll find it; And you won’t throw a fit Because you will soften Since we don’t see each other often Enough to suit our wishes In that place that is our special place. Where is your handsome face? It isn’t in its proper place For me to see your sweet smile, That I hope to see every mile Of my long-troubled life That is full of strife Than only you can remove In our place.
