| “Prince Charming”
As young girls, we are told that The love of our lives will come Riding to our rescue on a white horse. We have been taught to expect Prince Charming to come find us. What if Prince Charming doesn’t come Riding on a white charger to find us? What if he has always been there? Lurking right beside you from early on? We are taught that we’ll find our Prince Charming on a white charger. What if he comes riding up on a tricycle? Our Prince Charming may simply be the Faithful friend from our childhood. Fairy tales are wonderful dreams to have, But this Cinderella has found her prince. He was up the road in grade school, Across town or beside me at church during high school, And he’s still right beside me at college.
