Chapter One By Jeremy Orona The Yautja’s were getting there gear ready for the next sparring session. It was the first spar of the year, and Ke’wak’ie wanted to make it good. The young yautja’s walked in eager to fight. Ke’wak’ie made his speech and they parted. The room was silent, as the Yautja’s took stances. The First Yautja’ stepped forth to Ke’wak’ie , the yautja launched at Ke’wak’ie Grumbling in his throat. Ke’wak’ie stood there and grabbed the eager Yautja in the torso, and lifted him high in the air, he then slammed him in to the ground. The Yautja stood up with his eye’s fixed on Ke’wak’ie, he launched again took a swing at Ke’wak’ie. The Yautja’s looked in amusement at the spar. For spar’s judged the strength of the Yautja challenging his master. Ke’wak’ie grabbed the Yautja’s face and lifted him up, looked at him and threw him across the room. The Yautja broke his arm since he landed roughly on it. Ke’wak’ie Yelled out, PAYAS LEITJIN-DE HMA’MI-DE!! Don’t get carried away in your own attacks remember that!!!" The saprring went on, the younger Yautja who got hurt, walked out in shame, he mumbled his name over and over. He wondered how his mom could name him Yeyinde, the so called brave one, he wasn’t brave, for the spar with his master he was afraid to use his all against him, he was afraid of the consequences.... Yeyinde, was escorted to the medical room. The honorable way to show that he went out of his lead to his master was to burn a mark on his broken arm. Yeyinde sat there the burning on his arm was unbearable, he felt like screaming, the next thing he knew he was woozy his eye’s were a blur, the room was spinning, he fell to the floor, the room darkened in a sudden flash. The doctor Yautja’s inspected Yeyinde he didn’t only have a broken arm he also twisted his neck to a degree that turned him blind. The doctors started operating, his Thwei splattered everywhere the body started turning side to side, it was in pain the Yautya Yeyinde would not get his vision back. The doctors tried there best and sowed him up, he was blind. They hooked up robotic eye’s to the part of the brain that let his eye’s see. Yeyinde trained day and night, with his blades. He practiced on dummy’s though it wasn’t the real thing. Next he wanted to challenge Ke’wak’ie, for he wanted revenge on his pathetic defeat.... Yeyinde walked into Ke’wak’ie’s shrine, there he was under steaming hot water enduring the pain. Yeyinde stepped quietly in the shrine Ke’wak’ie’s back was turned toward him. He reached his hand out at Ke’wak’is’ neck getting ready to say surrender. Ke’wak’ie grabbed Yeyinde’s hand and threw him over his shoulder. Yeyinde landed in the steaming water letting out growls. Ke’wak’ie started laughing, though he knew it was wrong to sneak up on your master, though he had a nice respond to it. Ke’wak’ie said, "Yeyinde, your name suits you well trying to sneak up on your master." Yeyinde got up and wiped off the water. Ke’wak’ie went to the weaponry closet, he took out two metal staffs they didn’t hurt when struck since they were dull. He threw one to Yeyinde. "Yeyinde" he yelled, "This will be our final match, to determine your strength and your weaknesses!!! Let the match begin!!" The two mighty Yautja’s charged at each other each one having his own goal.... Copyright © 2004, Jeremy Orona. |
