The specific and primary purpose of this organization is to unite the African American population as well as the international people of African decent that both recognizes the social and psychological impact and influence the film, television, and video entertainment industries has on the psyche' and self esteem, and who at the same time celebrate excellence in the medium of film, television and video and wish to see more Black people write, direct, and produce more movies, broadcasts and videos that depict African Americans in a more positive light.

Purpose

This organization is concieved and organized to improve the images of African Americans and all people of African Decent to create a more accurate portrayal of African Americans in the public light, and to help assure that there will be an ever increasing number of African American writers,producers and directors with the commitment to do their best to write, produce and direct motion pictures, films and videos in a more positive light and less stereotypical depictions. The goal, in and of itself, is not to benefit financially, or to place a emphasis on financial success, but to increase the quality of film and television depictions of African Americans and to help and assist the self-esteem of future generations who have historically been subjected to images that, (on too many occasions) have not been an asset to our pride and self-worth. This organization plans to establish a film school that will facilitate its students as well as act as a catalyst for other African American film students on different campuses for the purposes of conveying vital and important information to assist student film makers in good standing.
