4. Approval of September 2002 Minutes – Unanimous
An addition to the September Minutes – The ABCML requested a time to speak on Back to School Night. This request was denied.
5. Communications
6. Treasurer’s Report – An excellent report was given by Carol Devine. She has given a clear accounting of the funds. She will label each expenditure clearly. Our current balance as of 10/12/02 is $13,982.94. The Fleet Bank Account was Closed out and this $1016.83 was deposited in the Commerce Account and included in the above balance.
7. Committee Reports – Susan Sederat the Joe Corbi Chairperson. Sales will continue.
Banquet – Debbie Motylinski & Merideth Hahn - Checks will be the only method of Payment. Date November 12. 6:00 $8.00 per person. We should break even on this event. Adults only plus student athletes. (No Siblings) Coaches will decide what they will do. Invitations will be mailed to the Principle and Superintendent. Need help for Set Up, Clean Up & Servers. Money will be returned to Josie Carfagno by November 4. Femmina will cater. Mr. Anderson will be asked to speak again.
8. Old Business – Karen Clementi sent a letter to all coaches informing them of their approved expenses for this year. Karen Clementi sent a letter to Mr. McGlone, Acting Superintendent informing the district of all fund raising activities in accordance with BOE Policy on fundraising (#5163) There is still some confusion with Maureen Dzwills purchase order. The purchase order had other items included??? The amount was incorrect. Carol will speak with her. Carol had issued a check which Maureen did not cash.
Karen Requa did an excellent job organizing the "Clean Up Day" for the Hockey and Soccer Teams. More adult help will be needed in the future. Adults participating included, Karen Requa, Coach Dzwill, Coach Wagner, and Karen Clementi (late). Money will be raised. Karen R. supplied cupcakes and cider for all participants.
9. New Business – Mrs. Coughlin has not placed any order for Lacrosse Equipment for this current school year. She requested her name and "Lacrosse" be removed from the Field Hockey/Lacrosse order and request submitted last spring.
Donations Several donations are being made to the Booster Club in the name of Mrs. Brass. Mrs. Brass was a loyal fan of student sports who recently passed away. Steve Motylinski will send Thank You Notes to the Donors and Notes to the Brass family informing them of the kind donations.
The Board will send a sympathy card to Mrs. Carfagno for the death of her Father-In-Law.
