Sanford Meisner on Acting - By Sanford Meisner : This is arguably one of the best books on the technique of acting.

The Actor's Encyclopedia of Casting Directors - By Karen Kondazian : This is a fascinating collection of interviews with major casting directors. They share their opinions and ideas and their addresses are included, as well as pictures. A wonderful resource, especially if you live in LA, but it's educational for any actor.

Your Film Acting Career - By M.K. Lewis & Rosemary R. Lewis : This book is really, really good for explaining the business part of acting. Although, it applies mostly to Los Angeles' way of doing things.

Audition - By Michael Shurtleff : This tells you pretty much everything you've ever wanted to know about doing an awesome audition.

Acting In Film - By Michael Caine : Academy Award-winning actor Michael Caine shares his knowledge of acting in front of a camera. There's lots of wonderful tips in this book.

Monologues For Young Actors - Compiled By Lorraine Cohen : If you're a young actor and you're looking for a monologue, this book has some pretty good ones it.
