Psychologist Bill Capa gives up his practice when he unintentionally pushes a patient to committ suicide. In an effort to come to terms with this tragedy he visits an old colleague, Bob Moore, who is subsequently murderered. The quest to catch the killer centres around a group of Moore's psychologically disturbed patients, however equally important is an affair which develops between Capa and the mysterious Rose. This relationship, at first a diversion, becomes central to the plot as the film progresses.

CRITICAL COMMENTS | ||||||||||||||||

||||||||||||||||
"Color of Night approaches badness from so many directions that one really must admire its imagination." -- Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun Times
"Ludicrous thriller...much-publicized sex scenes aren't very sexy...if only they had remembered to make an entertaining movie! Major disappointment from director Rush." -- Leonard Maltin
"Where's John McClane when you need him? He could have livened up proceedings in this pathetically inept psychological thriller. Bruce Willis is in desperate need of something to revive his gasping career, and I can guartenee that Color of Night isn't going to be it." -- James Berardinelli
"Illogical, overstuffed and understructured story has edge and flourish, but finally nothing can distract us from its sheer silliness." -- Rita Kempley, Washington Post
