QUOTES | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Rhinehardt: Like my daddy said right before he killed by mom, "If ya want somethin' done right, ya gotta do it yourself".
FACTS | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
RELEASE DATE: March 22nd, 2002 (USA) DVD RELEASE DATE: September 3rd, 2002 (USA) BOX OFFICE OPENING: $32.5 million (USA) BOX OFFICE RESULT: $81.6 million (USA) BUDGET: $55 million (USA) SHOOTING DATES: March 2001 -- August 2001 - During filming in April 2001, Wesley Snipes was admitted to the hospital for burn treatments. After working for hours under the hot lights of the set, Snipes' skin became inflamed, causing a rushed trip to the emergency room. - Comic Book Artists Mike Mignola and Tim Bradstreet worked as conceptual artists. - When Blade returns to his headquarters early in the movie, Scud remarks, "The Dark Knight Returns!" This is a reference to another comic book character that hunts by night, Batman, who was the subject of a classic comic book miniseries. In the theatrical trailer for the film, one of Wesley Snipes' lines is "Keep your friends close, keep your enemies closer". This is the line Al Pacino said in The Godfather, Part II (1974). - In the scene where Blade cuts the vampire, Reinhardt, in half, this is a reference to the anime film Vampire Hunter D in which a similar scene occured. - In the scene where Blade and the bloodpack are walking towards the house of pain, you see briefly through Whistlers thermal-scope that Blade is hot blooded unlike the other vampires. - The phrase "a man without fear" is used in this film. This is another comic book reference, this one to Daredevil, which is a Ben Affleck movie. |

Blade: [noticing vampire tattoo] You're human. Kounen: Barely. I'm a lawyer. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Blade: There's an old saying: Keep your friends close, keep your enemies closer.
Scud: So B-man, what do you think? Blade: Sounds like a plan. Whistler: What do you really think? Blade: They're gonna fuck us the first chance they get. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Blade: How do you feel? Whistler: Like hammered shit. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Blade: We'll play along for now. They'll take us in deeper than we've ever been. To show us how their world really ticks. Whistler: I've had enough of their world. They're shitting bricks just because they're no longer on the top of the damn food chain. |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Priest: Look at them. Half of these bastards. They're not even pure bloods. I tell you what, why don't we fucking kill everyone just to make sure.
Nomak: Is the enemy of my enemy my friend or my enemy?
