As a popular California disc jockey, Clint Eastwood character repeatedly receives on-air phone requests to "play Misty for me" from a sexy feminine voice. Intrigued by the caller, he soons meets the fetching fan in his favorite night spot and the two have an affair. But whe he wants to end the short-lived relationship, she only becomes more infatuated with him and violent towards his girlfriend.
