LOCAL ARTISTS SEEKING BOOKING INFO FOR NEXT SHOWCASE: Who? What? When? Where? Why? Portland Music Project Portland?s own ?Tia?s? and Forest Grove?s ?Homegrown Studio Productions?, are teaming up and bringing you a new concept in local music entertainment. We don?t want to just showcase local talent at the Portland Music Project; we want to sponsor some of the best and newest talent that this wonderful city has to offer. We want all in the music entertainment field to prosper and succeed. So, we are working to develop what we hope to be the biggest scene in Portland and in music entertainment as a whole. This new project is 100% produced by local talent, for local talent! We want the Portland Music Project to be the place where artists are not only showcased and featured, but where they can scope out who is new, hot and upcoming in P-town. We want the Portland Music Project to be a place where local club owners can go and see for themselves first hand who is representing proudly and loudly ? giving them the opportunity to decide who is good for their business. We want the Portland Music Project to be a place where all the media are welcome and invited to attend, so that they can spread the news of our freshest and best artists. We want a place where all record companies; new, big and small can come and find out who from Portland will be their next member! All music genres and ages are welcome to showcase their talent! As the project grows, more and more local talent will be getting involved ? we already have a good handful of talent for the next few shows. What is the new concept? How will we attract artists to this place? All are welcomed to the stage, but we know that some will be true at heart and others will just be having fun. Those having fun will get to show off their talent for a night and get to see themselves on local cable access, while those true at heart, will have the doors of Homegrown Studio Productions opened for them. We produce our own beats, master our albums and record all our tracks here at the studio. They will have the opportunity to make a video showcasing their talents. They will be featured on a new series that will be aired on cable access called ?Backstage NW.? This show will do a behind the scenes look at who is who in Portland. We will be going to clubs in Portland and we will produce an expose on an artist featuring that club, generating publicity for all involved. We are getting involved with the equivalent of the Portland Music Project in Seattle, WA, and we will be doing an ?exchange program? where once a month, we will send P-town?s talent to Seattle and we will in turn, get some of Seattle?s best here in our city!!! After a few months of this, California will be next, and our Northwest Circuit will be complete! All of that opportunity and exposure is available for all Homegrown Studio Productions? members and non-members! We just want Portland to represent ? regardless of their affiliation, music genre or talent! As we grow, we will have a night especially for you and your music preference. We will also include dancers, singers, comedians and more. But we can only do it if you show up. Just show up to see. $5 at the door and you may walk into the rest of your life! Music is powerful and so is your presence. Please come, support your friend, neighbor, cousin, brother, sister, father or mother. It is crucial for the continuance of this project and the growth of local talent that we get support. This is an event that is sponsored by a non-profit organization. We will get all sorts of coverage. We will grow. We will be a presence in Portland and in the entertainment field. We are here; we are homegrown ? are you? To be a part of the next project, send and email to james@alkymists.com or call James at 503 359 9100 and leave me the info as to who you are, how we may reach you and what you would like to do at the Portland Music Project!
