We take you to sometime in the distant future.  Not quite sure how far in the future. Estimating by the technology that Dr. Andrews is looking over at the moment with his wife Tonya Andrews.  They estimated themselves to be somewhere about 2,000 years into the future.
The two are in some sort of high tech room with metallic walls and computer counsels throughout the room.  Tonya is resting on what appears to be some sort of futuristic comfort chair as Dr. Andrews walks around the room studying the technology.
“The others are free to roam around this underground palace,” Dr. Andrews spoke, “its almost like they don’t feel threatened by us.”
“They know we came from the past,” Tonya (Black Phantom) replied, “almost as if they had been expecting us to come here.”
“I don’t understand,” Dr. Andrews said, “we trashed their whole little cloning lab and they don’t care.”
Just then the side door to the room slide open. Standing there was the leader of the clone army who appeared at the end of the last issue.  He had a calm smile on his face as he walked over to the two.
“We trashed your headquarters and you treat us as star one guests,” Dr. Andrews said, “what gives?”
“We are a peaceful nation,” the man spoke, “we do not want to harm you.  What you think you trashed can be fixed in an hours work.  You have no idea how far away from home you are.”
“What do you know about the portal near the island?” asked Dr. Andrews.
“We have just begun to study its significance,” the man replied, “that is how we managed to retrieve the DNA to build our new government army of super soldiers.”
“You mean your Mister Freedom army,” Tonya said, “ingenious.”
“Why not just make a clone army of someone like Cosmicman or Warrior woman?” asked Dr. Andrews, “why start with a regular human with some extra quick reflexes?”
“Metahumans are no longer as available as they used to be,” the soldier replied, “they were outlawed over a hundred years ago.  It just faded away as it came.  We never expected that a metahuman from nearly 2,000 years ago would stumble through a time doorway that has never really been officially discovered.”
“You said metahuman,” Dr. Andrews spoke, “that means someone came in there before we did.  Right?”
“Yes,” the solider replied, “he is the reason for the generosity.  He would like to speak to you Dr. Andrews if you would not mind following me.”
“What about my wife?” asked Dr. Andrews.
“He just requested you,” the solider said as Tonya began to sneer a bad look on her face.

A few minutes later, Dr. Andrews is lead through a few corridors until he is brought into a giant laboratory where the Amazer ship has been placed.  It rests comfortably in the center of the giant room that is over four stories tall.  There are a few cloned soldiers walking around in the black leather outfits.

A man steps out from the other side of the massive underwater ship.  Dr. Andrews recognizes him right away.  No other then Dr. Simonson; AKA Dr. Atomic.  He smiles as he glances up from some sort of futuristic clipboard.  He begins to walk toward Dr. Andrews.

“How did you get here?” asked Dr. Andrews.
“I got here nearly four years ago,” Dr. Simonson said, “I needed some time to get aquatinted with the technology but I think I have most of it mastered.”
“We left you in the year 2002 with a big underwater manshark to look after,” Dr. Andrews said, “this is not right.”
“Yes you did,” Dr. Simonson laughed, “but a year from now I am going to discover that little gateway by that island that you guys went through several times.  I make my way here and study the gateway and learn how to open and close the gate.  It’s kind of simple…” Dr. Simonson then took out a small electronic device from his pocket on his suit and began to tinker with it.
“By increasing the electrical field that manifests itself through the anomaly,” Dr. Simonson said, “I can basically open up the gateway to a time when some living matter actually passes through it.  So I chose to open it when you guys went through and bring you all here.”
“That is so incredibly genius that is scares me,” Dr. Andrews spoke.
“Come now,” Dr. Simonson said, “we used to work together.  We were a team.  We can do it again.  I have discovered so much here. I can do basically anything I want.  Imagine the knowledge we can have with this device.  We can travel to ancient Atlantis and learn about the mysterious Octavians.”
“I used to work with you until you became a monster,” Dr. Andrews spoke, “your rapped my fiancé and tried to kill me. I cannot get passed that.”
“That was nearly a decade ago,” Dr. Simonson replied.
“So this whole idea to clone a thousands of replicas of the late Mr. Freedom was your idea,” Dr. Andrews said, “building and army.  For what?”
“Don’t worry about that,” Dr. Simonson smiled, “being with me would highly benefit you Dr. Andrews.  You have always known that I was right.  You always studied under me.”
“I did,” Dr. Andrew said, “but I do not study under you no more.”
“Such a shame,” Dr. Simonson said as he pushed a button on his belt and what appeared to be a large metallic side wall began to slide open.  Standing there was Novaman and Dollman.  They were involved in some sort of mechanical project but stopped working and came over to the two doctors as Simonson motioned them forward.
“Dr. Andrews refuses to work with us,” Dr. Simonson said, “tell him how wrong he is.”
“Look at me,” Novaman said, “this technology has advanced my android body beyond anything that we could have imagined back in 2002.  Dr. Simonson is working on an experiment that will grow me a new human body.  If I could be human again, I would be so much in joy.”
“He’s still a madman,” Dr. Andrews spoke.
“Madman?” asked Dollman, “he is the leader of our expedition.  What are you talking about?”
“What have you done with their heads?” asked Dr. Andrews.
“What I should’ve done,” Dr. Simonson replied, “we have a little bad history between us.  Bad history that should never have happened. I was the team leader and I made a few mistakes.”
“You erased their minds?” asked Dr. Andrews transforming himself into the earth giant creature known as “Rockman”.

“The only reason you can transform yourself at will back and forth is because of me,” Dr. Simonson said, “I came up with the solution to your hideous appearance.  I can make you stuck like that. You could be a cold, rock, and unfeeling piece of terrain.  You do not want that.”
“You rapped the woman I love!” Rockman (Dr. Andrews) hissed in a fowl tone.
“What are you talking about?” asked Tonya (the Black Phantom) as she entered the room.
“You did it to her also?” asked Rockman.
“This team needs to come back together,” Dr. Simonson said, “we started off on this under sea exhibition so long ago.  It got side tracked because of the aliens we found at the bottom of the ocean.  The foreign radiation in their chambers altered our human DNA.  We got a little crazy but I think we are all used to our forms now.”
“You’re are a dead man,” Rockman said grabbing Dr. Simonson by the throat with his massive stone hand and lifting him in the air as if he were a feather.
Foooosh!  Novaman fired a massive fireball at Rockman.  It hit Rockman in the chest, it barely even phased the massive stone creature.  Rockman threw Dr. Simonson to the ground.
“I don’t want to fight my best friend,” Novaman said, “but I will. You’re acting harsh.”
“He tried to kill me,” Rockman said, “then he rapped my wife.” Rockman pointed at Tonya.
“You’re wife?” asked Tonya, “what are you talking about?”
“You see how simple it is to work this technology,” Dr. Simonson smiled as he looked up at him, “don’t worry.  It’s all fixable.”
“Blackmail,” Rockman said, “you need my full concentration and knowledge.  You can’t risk me losing everything I know.  I see where this is going.”
“You were my best lab assistant,” Dr. Simonson said, “let’s do it again once more.  I have almost found away to alter the electrons and shift the gateway open to any point in time.  Once I do that, we will be virtually unstoppable, gathering all the data we need for our research.”
“Our research was the original plan,” Rockman said, “until you decided to get a little power hungry with what you discovered.  I need to think.”  Rockman started to walk away and the side door slide open for him as he approached it.  Rockman walked through and it closed behind him.
“What is going on?” asked Tonya, “why is Dr. Andrews acting like that?  Could it be the transformation he suffered becoming that stone creature?”
“Not sure,” Dr. Simonson said, “we need to get to work on the Amazer vessel.  We have much technology we need to add to that underwater bucket of rust.  Once that ship has been advanced we can began the journeys.  Captain Johnson and Michael (Novaman and Dollman) return to the mechanical upgrades. Sorry I disturbed you.”
“It’s ok doc,” Dollman said, “didn’t want to see Dr. Andrews hurt you.  You gave me my break with this job.  It’s been the best thing I have ever signed up for.”
“Thank you Michael,” Dr. Simonson smiled.

As Rockman roamed the halls of the massive underground laboratories.  He transformed himself back into Dr. Andrews to avoid shocked looks as he passed several black leathered soldiers in the hallways.
He turned and proceeded up a flight of steps that took him to a large lounge room with a glass window with a beautiful view of the ocean.
He then opened the glass patio and out onto a wooden deck.  He glanced across the sandy beach to what appeared to be a large cavern a few meters away.  He proceeded down the deck stairs and walked over to the cavern.  Dr. Andrews stopped; he could hear the faint noise of someone mumbling.
Dr. Andrews proceeded into the cavern.  It was dimly light.  As he looked up, he could see a large figured strapped to a large rock.  The figure was Octopus.  He looked weak and dehydrated.  Dr. Andrews quickly ran over to him.
“Octopus?” asked Dr. Andrews, “Are you ok?”
“Except for my ego,” Octopus sneered weakly, “I feel like a fish on the sand. Now if you don’t mind you stupid cock sucker, get me out of here, and put me in the fucking ocean.”
Dr. Andrews transformed himself into his massive rock creature form and snapped the chains as if they were paper.  He then grabbed Octopus and carried him out to the sandy beach and into the cold ocean waters that lapped at his ankles.
He dropped Octopus into the cold waters.  It wasn’t seconds and Octopus was standing on his feet, he elongated his rubbery body and stretched out his massive arms as if his body was made of silly putty.
“Someone is going to die,” Octopus said in a strong voice as he absorbed the water regaining his strength.  He was not happy.
    “What happened?” asked Dr. Andrews.
“That fuck Simonson is here,” Octopus said, “he did some experiments on me. Took DNA samples and shit.  I think he has a mind of cloning an army of Octavians or something.  He had a few of his goons drop me off here to die after he was done.  I am going to kill that fucker…”
“Hold it right there,” Novaman said as he flew up behind Dr. Andrews and Octopus. He landed his flaming android body on the beach.
“Don’t do this again Johnson,” Dr. Andrews said.
“I have orders to take you back to the lab,” Novaman said, “now you’re helping out that monster.  Dr. Andrews, you’re slipping.”
“Hey bonehead,” Rockman (Dr. Andrews) said, “you’ve got to be the stupidest asshole I know.  You let a silly mind trick erase your memories.  Don’t make me crack that big black face plate open with his big stone fist.”
“Eat flame,” Novaman said firing a flame blast at Rockman. The blast hit him and barely even phased his monstrous gray stone skin.
“I hope that new android body is tough,” Rockman said moving toward Novaman, “Cause I am about to rip off your arms and legs.”
“Come on big boy,” Novaman said, “let’s see what you got.”
Rockman took a swing at Novaman. Novaman ducked and flew out of the way of the massive stone fist.  Novaman held both hands out and projected a flame blast from his hands.  The flames hit Rockman in the chest.  This time some of the flames managed to damage the massive stone body of the Rockman.
Wham!  Octopus got enough strength to elongate one of his arms and sent it flying toward Novaman. His large octopus like fist slammed into Novaman’s faceplate.   The force from the damage sent Novaman flying backwards onto the wet, sandy beach.
“Knock this shit off Novaman,” Rockman said, “Simonson erased some of your memories. You still think he is the team leader.  You have to trust me. We’ve been pals for awhile now.”
“I don’t know what to trust,” Novaman said as he blasted a whirlwind of flames at Rockman as he started to walk closer to him.  The flames incinerated most of his clothes.  Rockman was a little mad, but basically unharmed.
“We can do this all day,” Rockman said, “but I am not going to hurt my best friend.”
“You’re really not making an effort to stomp my head in,” Novaman said getting to his feet, brushing off the wet sand from his android body.
“But I am,” Octopus said sarcastically, “I’d like to stomp you a new ass.”
“He’s just salty,” Rockman said, “Simonson tried to kill him.”
“What the hell is that by the way?” asked Novaman, “I seen him in Simonson’s lab.”
“He really did erase your memories,” Rockman said.
“I am supposed to know him?” asked Novaman.
“Listen flame dick,” Octopus said, “we’ve known each other for over a year.  Remember me? The creature that was frozen at the bottom of the ocean.”
“I feel a sense of da-javu here,” Novaman said, “I can’t place it.”
“Trust me sparky,” Rockman said, “Simonson is cooking up something really nasty.”

Just then, from behind the heroes.  I few yards off the coast of the island.  A large massive figure started to emerge from the ocean. It almost looked like a small submarine but as it started to move. It appeared to be a much larger version of the creature they encountered early, called Megladon.
“Holy shit,” Rockman said, “didn’t we just beat that thing?  How come he is so big?”
“Courtesy of the big doctor Simonson,” Octopus said.
“What the hell is that, shark man?” asked Novaman.
“A altered version of a creature that used to hunt my people down and eat them,” Octopus said, “long fucking story but we should high tail our asses out of here. I am in no condition to battle that fuck.”
“Anyone for cooked sea food?” asked Novaman stepping to the front of the heroes.
“Watch the seafood comment dome head,” Octopus sneered.
Megladon was over fourteen feet tall.  He was massive in size.  His head was almost shark like along with his pale white skin.  He wore a blue leather type of armor that criss-crossed his massive chest.  Each step he took the sand on the beach rattled.  He stopped about ten meters from the heroes and grinned with his large shark teeth.
“Chewy Octavian,” Megladon snickered, “been a year since I seen you.”
“Actually,” Rockman said, “it’s only been a day or two for us.  Long story.  I would turn back in that water and go away.  You really don’t want this shark boy.”
“The ocean thrives with food,” Megladon said, “but I crave one thing.  Octavian!”
Megladon came charging Octopus.  Novaman stepped out in front and combined both of his hands together, outward creating a powerful flame blast that hit Megladon directly in the face.  Megladon staggered back and let out a ferocious scream that echoed through the small beach area.
“Insect!” Megladon said hissing through his large shark fangs.
Wham!  Rockman connected with his massive stone fist. The force from the blast was so powerful, it sent Megladon flying backwards and he landed in the ocean and sank down into the large waves.  The three looked around at each other.
“I think Simonson left me chained to that rock as a dinner offering to his mutated shark monster,” Octopus said, “sorry guys but Simonson is mine.”
“I am still having trouble grasping things,” Novaman said, “There are some events missing from my mind.  That is why I do not doubt your stories.  I’ve known you for quite some time Dr. Andrews.”
“They are not stories Captain,” Rockman said, “Dr. Simonson has cooked up the ultimate scheme. We are trapped in the future and our ship is in the lab.  If I can get to it and get the others we can get out of here.”
“Aaggghhh!” a scream from the ocean came.  It was Megladon.  He was coming full force at the three heroes.
“Come on shark dick!” Octopus said starting to move forward. Rockman snagged Octopus by his rubbery shoulder and pulled him back behind him.
“You’re still weak,” Rockman said, “let me handle this guy.”
“He ate my family,” Octopus said, “that bastard butchered thousands of Octavians.  He is a monster.  He killed my brother Spivo and skinned his body and dressed himself in his hide and put himself in the status chamber to save himself from the plague.  He is evil.”
Wham!  Rockman connected Megladon in the mid section with his fist.  Megladon stayed in the ballgame.  He grabbed Rockman by the throat and tossed the large stone creature in the air.  Rockman landed in the ocean a few feet away.
Foooosh!  Novaman sent another set of double powered flames at Megladon. Megladon shook off the pain and backhanded Novaman. The force sent Novaman backward into a large pile of wet sand.  Megladon looked at Octopus and began to hiss.
“At last my hunger cannot wait no more,” Megladon growled.
“Piss off,” Octopus said as he elongated himself around Megladon’s massive legs. Octopus tightened his grip and Megladon lost his balance and fell backwards into the sandy shore.
Wham!  Rockman was right back on top of Megladon. He connected with a large fist to the chops.  Megladon rolled to his feet.  He was fuming mad.
Foooosh!  Novaman was already on his feet sending a few more blasts of flames at the creature.  Megladon was starting to get weak and he knew he was out numbered.  He began to retreat back to the ocean as Novaman stayed right on his trail firing flame blasts at him until the creature dived into the water and disappeared into the large ocean waves.
Novaman who was up to his waste in the ocean began to turn back but felt something jerking at his leg and he sank under the water.
“Novaman!” Octopus said running into the ocean.
“Son-Of-A-Bitch!” Rockman said trailing behind Octopus.
Octopus looked up and he saw the water a few yards away begin to bubble rapidly.  Then a large splash came followed by the massive energy being known as Novaman.  Megladon must’ve damaged the android body, but now Novaman was now in his true form as a being made of extreme fire.

“My flames are intensified,” Novaman shouted as he soared through the air, “unfortunately I cannot come to close in this form.  Things will set fire.  I must find away back to the lab.”
     “Where is Megladon?” asked Octopus.
“He got the shock of his life when he cracked open my face plate,” Novaman laughed.
“Let me see if I can find your body,” Octopus said, “we can’t have you running around burning everyone up.  Just stay up in the air until I come up.”
‘No Octopus,” Rockman said, “you are weak.  We will go back to the lab and get the Amazer and find it ourselves.  That Megladon thing could be waiting for any of us to come looking for that armor body.”
“Good point,” Novaman said, “I will be flying around here. I will be waiting.”
“Come on Octopus,” Rockman said transforming himself back into Dr. Andrews, “let’s move.”

Later back inside the building.  Dr. Simonson and Dollman are working on the main engine line of the Amazer. They have just finished installing the futuristic computer updates on the underwater sea vessel.  Dr. Simons smiles as Tonya (Black Phantom enters the room.)
“All is going as clockwork,” Dr. Simons said, “the ship will be ready to cast out in a few hours.”
“I can’t put my finger on it Dr. Simonson,” Tonya said, “it is almost as if something is missing. I mean, I know we got weird powers from the alien radiation but the costumes we are wearing are very vauge on how we came up with these designs. Why are we dressed like this?”
“The radiation has been altering our thoughts,” Dr. Simonson said, “our bodies are adapting to these strange powers.  Soon we should be complete and things will start seeming normal.”
“Liar,” Dr. Andrews (Rockman) said as he came into the room behind Tonya, “Our bodies have had long time to adapt.  Try about three years. Dr. Simonson has deleted the last three years of your mind so that you won’t see he is a psycho.”
“Exactly,” Octopus said as he snarled. He was right behind Dr. Andrews.
“Good God,” Tonya said looking at Octopus, “what the hell is that?”
“Tonya,” Octopus said, “would you pull your head out of your ass. It’s me. Keto the Octopus from the deep of the ocean.”
“Silence you monster,” Dr. Simonson said as he began to walk toward everyone.
“You are on top of my turd list,” Octopus sneered, “if I was you. I would not come to close. The only thing keeping me from killing you is Dr. Andrews.”
“I have cracked the DNA code for the Octavians,” Dr. Simonson said, “I can bring back an entire race of Octavians.  You do not have to ever be lonely no more.”
“Why would he want an entire race of Octavians that are just cloned versions of him?” asked Dr. Andrews, “come on Simonson use your head.  Let me here this plan of yours.  You obviously went to great lengths to trick my team to help you.  Let me hear what you’re planning to do before Octopus and I open a can of whip ass on you.”
“I stumbled into this government laboratory,” Dr. Simonson said, “Taking it over was easy and finding all these genetically engineered clones of the late Mr. Freedom in here was a surprised.  I used their technology to study the ocean anomaly and travel back and fourth to learn of your mission to study it to bring that man from 1952 back home. I tricked you here.”
“Why?” asked Dr. Andrews, “your turned most of my team against me.  Ok very brilliant. Now what for?”
“The ocean’s mysteries have always been an obsession with me,” Dr. Simonson said with a smile, “I can alter the gate anomaly with this device.  I want to travel back to ancient times to find the location of Atlantis before it was swallowed into the ocean’s depths.”
“Been there, done that,” Octopus snarled.
“I want to learn,” Dr. Simonson said, “we could take you home Octopus.”
“Interesting bribe to keep me from ripping off your head and shitting down your neck,” Octopus said, “that I would have to definitely consider.  Second question.  Why mutate the shark creature?  You left me as bait.”
“Megladon is an experiment gone bad,” Dr. Simonson, “I gave you to him as a peace offering.  He agreed to let well be.  I guess you guys beat him.”
“Beat him isn’t the word,” Dr. Andrews said, “Now we’ve got Novaman’s android body floating at the bottom of the ocean while he is helpless flying around in the air waiting for us to retrieve it.”
“I have another Novaman body in design,” Dr. Simonson with this futuristic technology I can whip one up in a half of an hour.  Tell him not to worry.”
“Ok,” Dr. Andrews said, “we travel back to ancient Atlantis.  You borrow the Amazer, my knowledge, and my crew.  After it is over, you return everything back to normal?”
“You have always been a brilliant marine biologist and very witty,” Dr. Simonson smiled, “I knew you would guess the deal on the table.”
“Good,” Dr. Andrews said, “we’ll do it your way but any funny stuff and I don’t care. I will take that whole ship to the bottom of the ocean with you in it.”
“Such threats,” Dr. Simonson laughed, “But I like it.”

A day later, all of the heroes have began planning for what Dr. Simonson’s big plan to travel back in time through the gate anomaly by altering it with some futuristic device he designed.  Novaman was back in a new android body as all the team gathered at the bridge.
“I will adjust the frequency on the device to alter the currents of the gateway to open up to the direct assumption of Atlantis’s existence has been calculated.”
“Ready for me to take off?” asked Novaman as he sat down at the navigation controls of the helm.
“Yes,” Dr. Simonson said, “If we would all take our places.”
“For now,” Dr. Andrews said as he sat down in the leather chair across from Novaman.
Tonya, Michael (Dollman) and Octopus followed. Octopus had really no main job aboard the Amazer but he was given a seat to sit in as Novaman took the massive ship out into the ocean depths, plunging the massive ship into the Atlantic Ocean.
“I almost forgot how much I liked the ocean,” Novaman said, “it still feels the same to me, even in this form."
“Don’t worry Captain Johnson,” Dr. Simonson said with a smile, “if all goes well you will be flesh and blood once more.
“You know something,” Dr. Andrews replied.
“I have theories,” Dr. Simonson said.
“No time like the present,” Dr. Andrews said.
“The status chambers that contained Octopus and that Megladon creature were advanced,” Dr. Simonson said as he tinkered with the electronic device as Novaman stirred the Amazer through the anomaly, “the radiation that kept the status chamber working through all those years as Octopus was suspended through thousands of centuries.  The technology is not human.  I also believe if we can figure out the source and harness it, the alterations to our bodies may be reversible.”
“Like you would want to lose your powers,” Dr. Andrews laughed.
“No,” Dr. Simonson said, “but Johnson would like to be human again and I am sure that this temporary changing back and forth from human to rock creature won’t last very long.”
“We’ll see…” Dr. Andrews replied with a chuckle.

Much later, as Dr. Simonson coached the team through the anomaly gateway. He tinkered with his little device and the Amazer seemed to come out the other side of the gateway with no harm.  The weather seemed much different as Novaman brought the ship to the surface of the water.
It was kind of drizzling and the clouds seemed to hang over much different then the sunny weather that they had left.  Dr. Simonson studied the electronic chart maps as if he knew where he was going.
“The shark man told you where Atlantis is?” asked Dr. Andrews moving over next to Dr. Simonson to oversee what he was doing.
“Exactly,” Dr. Simonson smiled, “I enhanced his genetic makeup for exchange for knowledge of Atlantis.  He heard stories of people disappearing in the location we call the time gateway. They avoided it and referred it to something like a Bermuda Triangle.  Once I pinpointed the time frame he was talking about, I knew I could find Atlantis. Which should be a few more miles if we continue this course.”
“You want something,” Dr. Andrews said, “you know what you want.  Don’t you?”
“I did not bring you along because you were dimwitted my good doctor,” Dr. Simonson smiled, “in time you will know why I brought all of us here.”
“I hope so,” Dr. Andrews replied.

A few minutes later, on the main view screen. Tonya pointed out a small island as the moved closer to it.  As the Amazer moved closer, they could see an enormous island that caught their eye.  Unlike anything they have ever read or heard about.
“We have arrived, somewhere around 10,000 BC.  Team, behold Atlantis!” Dr. Simonson said with a smile.
“Big deal,” Octopus said, “I used to swim around those rocks when I was a little one.  Glad you are so observant.”
The Amazer docked on what appeared to be a sandy shore with plenty of boat docks and carved massive wooden peers.  The team disembarked and began to follow Dr. Simonson as he lead the way up the wooden peer through what appeared to be a small jungle.
“Through these woods is the city,” Octopus said as he followed closely behind everyone.
“I think he already knows that,” Dr. Andrews said.
Soon, they all came out at a long stone pathway that led to the city.  There were people walking around.  Humans dressed in white robes and sashes.  As the Amazers walked through the main ancient city consisted of large stone pillars and temple like buildings; the ancient citizens of Atlantis did not even blink an eye at the strange appearance of the team as they marched through the center of the city.
“This is odd,” Novaman said, “no one cares that we look weird.”
“I think Simonson knows that,” Dr. Andrews said as they followed Simonson into what appeared to be a large temple with fifty some stone stairs that lead all the way to the opening of the temple.
As they all entered the temple.  The noticed there were about twelve priest like Atlantiens in deep prayer.  They did not even care as the team walked right passed them. Dr. Simonson came over to what appeared to be a large scepter that was lying on a small wooden shelf in the center of a stone wall.  He reached up and grabbed the golden color scepter and smiled.
“You came here for that,” asked Dr. Andrews, “didn’t you?”
“They do not know it,” Dr. Simonson said, “but this scepter has the power to undo all creation.  I believe now this is the reason that there is a gateway near that island. This device was misused and it tore a fabric of time and space, causing the anomaly.
“I heard that it’s just a piece of metal found at the bottom of the ocean,” Octopus laughed, “the stupid city people think it has magic and they worship it.  What is the big hairy deal?”
“You fool Octopus,” Dr. Simonson laughed, “you have no idea how naive you really are.”
“Come again old fart?” asked Octopus.
Dr. Simonson began to tinker with the scepter and the heroes gasped in horror as all the human priests began to turn into shark-like creatures, much like Megladon.  Octopus looked around the room in shock.
“These Atantiens are Megladonians,” Dr. Simonson laughed, “they disguised themselves as humans during the day and at night they hunted your race.  This scepter is the most powerful weapon on the face of the Earth.  It also is the reason Atlantis sank into the ocean.  Once the priests learned of its power they began to corrupt themselves with it until they undid their own creation.  That is why I chose this point in time to arrive here.  They had no idea what this scepter was and they just pretty much stored it here for public viewing.”
“Now what do we do with it?” asked Dr. Andrews.

Just then, a gold sparkly humanoid came around the corner.  He walked over to the team.
“Put that thing back,” the man spoke, “the name is Carino.  I’ve been observing you for quite sometime.  I was not allowed to interfere but know that you could possibly alter the fate of existence. I have to stop you and your friends. Please do not resist. You are all coming with me.”

“Dude,” Dollman said, “this is not what it looks like.”
“You cannot stop me golden man,” Dr. Simonson said, “this is where it begins.”
