The Amazers            PAGE: 1

At the University of Neutron City, thousands of people have gathered inside the large auditorium to celebrate Graduation Day for some of the students that have made it through the main courses to their degrees.
One of the students with highest honors was Tonya Walsh Andrews.  She had received all her degrees in Marine Biology and the bachelors in small science degrees.  One of the professors (Dr. Simonson) left toward the end of the course.  They brought in a substitute and Tonya pretty much took control of the class, helping out the professor.
Everyone knew Tonya was going to be successful.  She married a bright professor at NCU, Dr. Andrews.  She was already on the cover of Time magazine because of his super under water machine he created called "The Amazer".
Secretly, know one really knows what really happened.  The "Amazer" found alien cargo units on the ocean floor. The radiation that was inside them to preserve the cargo mutated Tonya and her crew into odd powered beings (See Amazer's #1 for details).  The group made a secret alliance to use their powers for the good of mankind.
Tonya would find herself developing some sort of darkforce energy control.  Along with her abilities to walk through walls and turn invisible.  She became codename, "The Black Phantom".
Dr. Andrews found that he could become one with the Earth.  Actually turning himself into the rocky Earth and making himself almost indestructible. At first, he thought he was doomed to be stuck as an ugly rock creature, never to touch his beloved Tonya without hurting he but he figured out how to transform himself back and forth.  His powers also involved melting into the ground with his molecules and actually become one with the Earth.  It was an amazing power.  He code named himself, "Rockman."
Captain Steve Johnson, the ships navigator.  His body was transformed into living energy.  His human form was the one that suffered out of everyone.  Dr. Simonson created a fireproof android for Captain Johnson so that he could exist as a person.  After many different bodies, the final one was put together.  Though it did not look human, it allowed him to function as a person.  He still had powerful energy blasts of heat he could project from the body.  With the hydrogen in the flames, he found that he could soar in the air as if he was airborne.  He code-named himself, "Novaman."
Michael Leigh, the ships repair and computer guy.  He was a part-time rocker in a band called E.Z. Bitch.  However, he was transformed into only a man of two inches tall with the addition of super strength and flight.  He thought he was stuck in that form at first but he later found out that he could return to his human form late on (See Amazers #3).  His band E.Z. Bitch later broke up when he found himself jammed full time into the "Amazer" project.  He code-named himself, "Dollman".
Last but not least.  The cargo that was found on the ocean floor with the alien radiation.  Inside was aquatic being called Keto.  The being resembled an octopus with strange elasticity abilities.  What happened was the "octopus" people landed on earth thousands of years before man.  They lived on the sea floors.  A strange disease would later claim most of its population.  For some reason Keto and another being were placed into status chambers as their race all died.
Later, the other "octopus" creature came breaking out.  For some reason he was not an "octopus" creature. It was a creature called "Megaladon" A being wearing fake Octavian hide and posing as an Octavian (maybe to escape the plague).  Who knows, but all we know is that he and Keto have extreme hatred for eachother (because Megaladon used to eat the Octavians).  They captured the beast and put him on ice (See Amazers #3 for details).

As Tonya made her way through the crowd of people dressed in her Graduation attire, she greeted her husband (the buff handsome professor with curly hair and a beard).  He was smiling as she came over to him after the ceremony.

The Amazers            PAGE: 2

"How does it feel to have an actual degree in your hands?" asked Dr. Andrews lighting his tobacco pipe and taking a hit.
"Now I feel more smarter," Tonya said rolling her eyes, "I could have had this degree two years sooner if I wouldn't of had to sit through these endless courses on stuff I already knew about."
"Have to make it all legit honey," Dr. Andrews smiled.
"You called a meeting at the warehouse later," Tonya said, "what became of that hideous shark thing that tried to eat Keto?"
"Dr. Simonson has him somewhere in some lab of his," Dr. Andrews replied, "I am sure he is studying the beast.  I am not to thrilled about Simonson taking a monster of that power, but he is a scientist.  I've worked with him, I know what he wants with it."
"Don't say that mans name," Tonya said, "after what he did to me.  He is probably the only person on this Earth that I could kill in cold blood."
"Enough of that," Dr. Andrews said, "we got work to do."

Later back at the warehouse by the harbor.  The whole team is gathered inside the large warehouse around "The Amazer".  The ship has been repaired and many new parts have been added to the machine.  It is truly an under water Star ship Enterprise.  Decked out with room quarters, Kitchen, Engine Room, cargo storage and a monstrous bridge for the crew.  The warehouse was running out of the room with the Amazer parked inside for repairs.
Dr. Andrews and his wife Tonya entered the warehouse.  They looked around.  They saw Michael on a giant platform attached to some kind of forklift so that he could reach a side part of the monstrous ship to get at it for repairs.  He looked down at the two and held his thumb up as a signal of positivity.
Novaman came into the main room from the little office by the door.  His cold black faceplate spoke no facial expression but he gave Tonya a stern hug for her achievement back at NCU.  His voce echoed from inside the android body.
"Well it is about time you made yourself worth among the team," Novaman chuckled.
"Well thanks Captain, you just made my day," Tonya replied sarcastically.
"Listen up!" Dr. Andrews said grabbing everyone's attention.  Including Keto who was over in the corner sitting at one of those picnic tables placed in the warehouse.  He was discovering the human treats called, "snowballs".  He was addicted to the snacks.  He kept sending Michael out to the Kwik trip to pick some up.  His large green lipped mouth was filled with pink coconut snowball treats.  He came over to the group that was gathering around Dr. Andrews.
"What is it boss?" asked Michael leaping off the sky lift platform and transforming himself into "Dollman" and flying down to the group.  He then transformed himself back to his normal size.
"We set sail tomorrow at 6:00 AM sharp," Dr. Andrews smiled, "its about time we get back to our normal lives as crew members of the Amazer.  These new powers are just a setback, we do have lives to continue with."
"I will agree with that," Novaman replied.
"Everyone back to their duties," Dr. Andrews said, "just a reminder of reality."
"I am right there with you," Michael smiled turning back into Dollman and flying up toward the sky lift platform.

The next day, The monstrous vessel was brought to the main shores by five semi trucks.  Dr. Andrews did not want to cause alarm using his powers and carrying it.  It was also another celebration for science as the docks were jammed with reporters.

The Amazers            PAGE: 3

"Tell me Dr. Andrews," a reporter said sticking his microphone in his face, "what do you hope to discover on this mission?"
Dr. Andrews was silent for a moment.  Then he spoke.
"Well, there is another world at the bottom of these oceans," Dr. Andrews replied, "this vessel is basically an underwater tour bus built with all the comforts of home.  While people on land live out their daily lives.  We will be on the ocean floor, relaxed and studying things that are probably not even recorded yet."
"There is a rumor that you encountered something awhile back and it did physical damage to your bodies?  Some type of radiation leek at the bottom of the ocean?  A crashed alien vessel?" asked the reporter.
"No, those rumors are purely idiotic jokes," Dr. Andrews replied, "if we found something like that we would have recorded it."
"What about Dr. Simonson the ships other creator?  Why is he no longer a member of the crew?" asked the reporter.
"Dr. Simonson is no longer mentally capable of acting as a crew member.  Maybe it was the long isolation.  I do not know," Dr. Andrews said, "we decided as a crew to no longer allow Dr. Simonson along with us."
Later, inside the bridge of "The Amazer".  Novaman and Keto (Octopus) are sitting in the main front window chairs and watching as the semi trucks slowly drag the monstrous vessel to the ocean waters.
"Back to the sea," Octopus said, "I can't believe that Dr. Andrews is letting that Marlin Schneider drunk guy tag along with us." (See Amazers #1 for story).
"We need to find away to get him back to 1952," Novaman said.
"He could not find his asshole with his own to hands if it wasn't for the endless amount of beer that was supplied to him."
"Just bite your tongue," Novaman said, "he is in his quarters sleeping off an all niter.  We will soon be rid of his worthless butt."

Soon, after a few hours of show business on the docks.  Dr. Andrews joined the crew as it plunged into the Atlantic Ocean.  He came to the bridge with Tonya and Michael.  They took their seats.
"Steady as she goes Captain Johnson," Dr. Andrews said, "drop her down to about four thousand feet once we get a hundred miles off the coast.
"You don't have to address me as Captain Johnson anymore," Novaman said as he worked the main ships controls, "Captain Johnson is dead.  I was reborn as this freak of nature.  Novaman will do fine."
"Then I am officially Dollman," Michael smiled trying to make Captain Johnson feel at home.
"Then it is official," Dr. Andrews said, "if Captain Johnson wishes to be address as his code-name then we all shall be address in the same manor."
     "Gotcha Rockman," Octopus replied sarcastically.
"See, I have no problem with that," Dr. Andrews said.
"So, I heard we are going to find that anonymity in the ocean where the time rift appeared between 1952 and modern time?
"Who knows what has happened since we have been away for a year or two," Dr. Andrews replied, "time could have changed.  I do not know how it works."

As the ship plunged deeper into the dark abyss.  They had to activate the outer hull lights.  They opened the bridge sky light windows to sit back and enjoy all the marine life that passed
by.

The Amazers            PAGE: 4

Fish and sea creatures of many different colors, it was truly and amazing site to the crew.  Tonya scribbled down notes in her book on all the fish and marine life she witnessed.  It was truly taking her breath away.
"You think there was really an Atlantis?" asked Novaman.
"Well, if there was.  Maybe we'll find its remains buried deep under here," Dr. Andrews replied.
"Hey buddy," Octopus chuckled, "I come from an underwater world that was here way before this Atlantis myth.  If there was an Atlantis, I sure don't remember it."
"I wish you could recall some of your memories," Dr. Andrews said, "the knowledge would be for the histories of science.  For the reason why you were selected to enter the incubation chambers as a representative of your race."
"Well if he was the chosen one," Michael (Dollman) chuckled, "they must have been a race of morons."
"Oh, you think your funny mister girlie hair," Octopus replied getting to his feet.
"Sit down bubble head, it was just a joke," Dollman replied.
"I'll let it slide this time," Octopus replied.

Later, as the crew surfed through much scenic views.  They arrived at the mapped destination where the time anonymity accrued (see Amazers #1).  As the massive machine came up from the deep dark blue.  All of the crew began attending to their duties as planned.
Dollman began to scan the area for any out of the ordinary compass needle movements.  Novaman used the ships infra scanners to see if he could pick up any form of radiation or strange heat patterns.
"When we enter through that exact point in latitude and longitude," Dollman said pointing as his map, "nothing really special occurs until we return back to the mainland and notice time differences."
"Do I proceed through the point?" asked Novaman.
"I am not sure," Dr. Andrews said as he sat down in his leather seat and tapped Dollman's maps to his main computer.  He rubbed his thick beard and studied the maps.
"There is only one way to see if the anonymity is still active," Black Phantom (Tonya) replied, "we go straight through the location and on the other side of that small island as before."  (See Amazers #1).
     "Novaman proceed," Dr. Andrews said.
"Yes sir," Novaman said adjusting the ship's controls.
The powerful sub vessel proceeded forward through the location.  As they were traveling through.  Dollman jumped up from his seat and looked back at Dr. Andrews.
"Since I am scanning the area," Dollman said, "as we proceeded through the anonymity, the compass needles are spinning around like an electric fan propeller."
     "Interesting," Dr. Andrews said.
"Keep going or turn back?" asked Novaman.
"As Ann Wilson would sing," Dr. Andrews smiled, "Straight on."
     "Yes sir," Novaman chuckled.
As the ship passed through the area.  Everything seemed to go back to normal.  They kept forward.  Looking around through the computer cameras and windows.  It looked normal.  Endless ocean water and sky that was slightly turning to dusk with its pink and purple skies.
"What do you think?" asked Novaman.
The Amazers            PAGE: 5

"I don't know," Dr. Andrews said studying the maps and the computers automatic scanner logs, "according to the computers we are proceeding as if nothing happened."
"You can't ignore the strange magnetic occurrences," Dollman replied.
"No I can't," Dr. Andrews said softly as he studied the scanner's logs.
"So I am assuming from past experiences that we are back in 1952," Black Phantom added.
     "Where to next?" asked Novaman.
"Swing back around to that island," Dr. Andrews said, "we need to get time date samples and clues on the island."
"Yes sir," Novaman said as he piloted the ship toward the main shore of the small island.

Novaman docked the powerful metallic vessel on the large sandy beach.  Dr. Andrews lowered the large bridge and everyone disembarked with their recording instruments they were assigned with.
With the remote control, Dr. Andrews closed up the bridge as everyone was safely on the wet, sandy beach walking around.  Everyone had new safety gear uniforms freshly designed.  This time they were not all matching.  They all had them fashioned after their strange mutated powers.
Dr. Andrews who still was in human form, had some sort of light blue and white uniform that was specially designed to change with his bodies mass when he transformed himself into the powerful earth creature, The Rockman.
"This island appears to be occupied," Novaman said pointing down over the large hill they were walking up.  Below, was a small area open, there was some sort of buildings.  There had to be about three or four of these metallic looking buildings.  There was a man walking around.  He was a large size of six foot something.  He wore a black leather uniform and a black helmet that covered his whole head, and seemed to be patrolling the area.
"When did that place pop up here?" asked Dollman.
"I don't know," Dr. Andrews replied as he motioned everyone back behind a row of trees and shrubs so that they would not be spotted.
"We were here over a year ago and this place was deserted," Black Phantom replied.
"We are not in the exact time as predicted earlier," Dollman said.
"Yeah but those buildings look high tech," Novaman added, "I do not think we traveled back in 1952 again."
     "Very true," Dr. Andrews said.
"Then what do we do?" asked Black Phantom.
"Turn yourself invisible and walk around down there and come back with any details," Dr. Andrews said.
"Gotcha," Black Phantom said as she faded her body to invisible.
Except for the small footprints she left as she walked off, the Black Phantom simply vanished from everyone's eyes.
A few minutes passed and then alarms started to go off.  Four large metallic robots came blasting out of the ground.  They appeared to be some sort of security protection.  They started firing energy beams from their metal hands.  They were firing at nothing.  Everyone realized the robots could see Black Phantom clear as day when she changed back to normal to put up a black energy wall to block the powerful blasts.
"Time to help out!" Dr. Andrews said as he began to sink into the ground.  The soil below started to swirl around and he started to rise back up in his "Rockman" form.
Rockman went charging down toward the large robots.  The rest of the team followed him.
Rockman charged right up on one of the robotic beasts.  He pulled his large gray rocky hand back and released it into the torso of the robot.  WHAM!  The metal beast blasted itself into a million pieces.
The Amazers            PAGE: 6

Dollman turned himself small and flew inside one of the cracks on the one robot that was firing at the black energy wall.  Dollman looked around once he was inside the robot and studied the computers.  He was amazed that the technology was above his computer skills.
He flew over to a main circuit pad and started yanking wires.  Nothing stopped the beast as it started blasting through the black energy wall.
The beast reached over to grab the Black Phantom and all of a sudden it froze in its tracks and fell face first into the sand.  Dollman came flying out the other side of the robot.  He grew himself to a size where Black Phantom could see him he raised his traditional thumbs up and flew off toward the last two robots.
Novaman rocketed around the robot in almost full flames. He held out his arms and blasted a blast of high intense flames.  He watched as the joints of the robot began to melt together and it froze in its tracks.
Octopus came up under the "melted" robot and slammed into it, knocking it backward in the sandy with a loud clang noise.  The other robot turned and fired at Octopus, but the elastic ancient creature of the deep easily maneuvered itself out of the path of the blast.
Black Phantom used her dark energy power and encased the robot in a giant black energy cube.  She left the head exposed.  Rockman had easy access to clearing the robotic head with a massive clothesline-wrestling move from his power stone arm.
Soon it wasn't long before there was nothing but robotic pieces beneath everyone's feet lying in the sand.  Rockman looked over he noticed three giant cannons popping out of the ground at the edge of the cleared property.
"Lookout!" Rockman yelled as an energy blast shot from it toward the group.
Black Phantom placed up a dark energy wall and the blast bounded off it.  Novaman sailed over the energy wall and used his powers to turn the cannon into molten metal slag.  Dollman sailed at top speeds in his two-inch form right toward one of the cannons.  He saw how weak it was and he blasted through the cannon like a knife going into butter.  The cannon fell apart and was dissembled.
The last cannon managed to get a shot off.  It skimmed across Octopus's black and orange specially designed outfit as he elastically moved out of the way.  Octopus did feel a tad bit of the heat from the blast.  It weakened him a bit, but he was not damaged.
Rockman disappeared into the sand as he formed into the ground.  He popped up from behind the cannon, where he crushed it with his monstrous stone hands.
"What the hell is all this shit?" asked Octopus looking around the area.
"Looks like high security for some reason," Novaman said as he fanned the flames from his robotic body.  He walked passed Octopus who nearly fainted from the intense heat that was immersing from Novaman's android body.
As they examined all the buildings, they found them all to be empty.  Not a sign of the man in the black leather uniform that was seen earlier.  All of the buildings where the same. They all had two chairs, a table and a red braided rug on the floors.
"Something does not make any sense," Rockman said as he exited the last building.
"I seen that man go into this building," Black Phantom said pointing at the structure.  As they all glanced back inside for a second look.  It was empty as they looked before.
"What the hell is going on?" asked Dollman changing back into his normal size.
"Hold tight guys," Rockman said as he entered the building again.  He looked around and examined the room.  He lifted up the red braided rug on the floor.  Just as he thought, there was a metal floor hatch with no handles.
"I am betting he took an exit down this thing," Novaman said.
"How do we open it?  It has no handles," Dollman said, "it must take some sort of computer code or something high tech."
The Amazers            PAGE: 7

"Since whatever is here has no regard or respect for us, neither do we," Rockman said grabbing the metal door with his massive stone hands.  His hands sunk in as if the door was silly putty.  He then ripped the hatch right off its hinges.
"Must you be so destructive darling?" asked Black Phantom.
Just then, a massive metallic elevator came up through the floor.  It opened.  There was no one inside of it.  Rockman studied it.
"I assume this elevator is automatic when this door opens," Rockman said stepping inside.  Everyone followed.  The door closed as Octopus was last to enter.
The elevator started moving down.   It felt like dozens of levels where passing downward as everyone braced themselves.  Rockman studied the elevator.  There were no controls inside, any buttons, nothing.
"I assume this elevator is controlled by a computer," Rockman said, "maybe a computer carried by the person riding it."
"Where is it taking us?" asked Octopus.
"Well I assume it is taking us down," Novaman replied looking around studying the insides of the small metal elevator shaft.
The elevator hit a certain floor on the bottom.  The doors did not open.
"Gas!" Novaman said pointing at a greenish vapor that was seeping into the compartment of the elevator.
"Enough of this," Rockman said blasting off the elevator door.
Everyone could see into another room now. Everyone followed Rockman as they left the elevator.
"What a bunch of cheap security systems," Novaman replied looking around the large room.  The ceiling was very high.  It supported another floor where metal mesh staircases lead up to.  There were large tanks in the massive room.  As they looked closer, there were human bodies in plastic bags in the tanks about maybe five a tank.
"Why do I get the feeling I am in the movie the cocoon?" asked Dollman shrinking himself down to two-inch size.  He flew up to the second floor that was supported by the metal mesh flooring.  These floors where specially designed to outline the lids of the tanks, to take or put items inside.
"Someone was here not too long ago," Novaman said pointing to the half-eaten lunch on a plastic serving tray, sitting on a small table by the stairs.
"Look at all those bodies?" said Black Phantom, "I wonder if they are dead?"
"They all bare the same physical size," Rockman replied, "I wonder if this is some sort of futuristic cloning plant?"
"Holy Star Wars," Dollman shouted as he flew around the top level of the stairs.
Octopus reached behind a large metal cabinet with his elastic arm.  He pulled out a man with blonde hair and some sort of white futuristic smock on.  He looked nervous as Octopus set him down.
"It won't be long before the second security branch arrives," the man said, "you thought those devices upstairs where tough.  You wait."
"I never said they were tough," Octopus said sneering his sharp fangs at the man.
"What do you want?" asked the man.
"You tell me," Rockman said, "last we checked this place wasn't hear.  We went to examine the area and one of those robots fired weapons at my wife.   We simply retaliated and came here looking for some answers."
"Last I checked," Novaman said looking around, "it is against the law to clone or grow human bodies in a laboratory."
"What are you guys?  You have meta-human abilities," the man said, "so I assume you are with the government or you are spies."
"We are neither," Rockman said studying the clones that were floating in the tanks.
"What do you want then?" asked the man.
Black Phantom went over to Rockman.  She whispered in his ear.
"Look at his face," Black Phantom whispered, "is that that one scientist name Dr. Johnson who lives in England…A.K.A. The Avenger?"
"Last I remembered, The Avenger was dead," Rockman whispered back in her ear.
"Who are you?" asked Rockman walking toward the man.
"I am Alpha Project 240," the man said, "I have no name.  I was designed to work on this project about three years ago."
"You are not real?" asked Novaman studying the man.
"I was created about two years ago," the man said, "I have no recollection of what I am suppose to be.  I just follow orders."
"He is a clone," Rockman said, "don't you recognize him?  The Avenger?  They cloned the Avenger to use his super intelligence for this project.  Crafty.  These people must be able to duplicate brain patterns to carbon copy his mental abilities."
"Interesting," Novaman said, "without that orange mask I had no clue who that was."
"Let's hall ass out of here," Dollman said flying himself next to Rockman's face, "if they got re-enforcement's coming.  They are about to open a fresh can of whip ass on us."
"This place doesn't sit," Rockman said looking around, "it is wrong."
"If it is in a secret place," Black Phantom said, "then it must be still illegal.  What these people are doing is immoral.  Those poor creatures in that tank."
"Oh they do not feel nothing," the man said, "they are pretty much brain dead until we shoot the brain anagrams into their brains.  They will do as commanded."
"Super soldiers," Novaman said, "this is a farmhouse for government super soldiers."
Rockman looked closer at the plastic bag the human bodies where growing in.  He looked at the face of one of the clones.  His eyes gazed in horror.
"What is it?" asked Octopus, "you look shocked."
"That face," Rockman said, "don't any of you recognize the army of soldiers they are creating?  They are molding them after the perfect human body."
"Oh my God!" Novaman said, "I'd recall that face anywhere.  When I was a young lad in the Gulf War I remember this man.  Mr. Freedom!"
"We gotta shut down his clone farm," Rockman said, "it is wrong.  Where is the off switch mister Alpha Flight?"
"Um…" the man said, "you want me to shut down this project?  I do not have orders."
"Want me to melt down all these computers?" asked Novaman.
     "Be my guest," Rockman replied.
With the wave of his hand, Novaman melted all the large life support computers.  All the lights in the tanks went off.
"Are there anybody else here besides yourself?" asked Rockman.
"Just the security guard,"  the man said, "he probably long since took off to get backup.  Probably took one of the escape hatches."
"I think the elevator is no longer an option to get out of here," Novaman said, "I could burn my way to the top through the layers of Earth but that would take forever."
"Follow me," the man said, leading everyone through a maze of hallways, and into a small room.
He pushed a button on a small computer pad an a elevator door opened up.  He entered and everyone followed.  With a few more buttons he pushed on the pad, the door closed behind everyone and the elevator started to rise upwards.

The Amazers            PAGE: 9

Soon it stopped.  The elevator door opened. They were inside one of those buildings similar to the one they came down in.
"Let's beat it," Dollman flew over to the main door of the building.  He opened the door and everyone's jaws about dropped at the next site.
The place was surrounded by at least twenty of those monstrous robots.  The man in the black leather uniform outfit was standing in the center with his arms folded.  He smiled as everyone exited the building and started to examine the large numbers of robots that were surrounding them.
"Ok buddy," Rockman said, "step aside or you are not going to like the consequences."
"Your big submarine is in custody," the man said pulling off his black helmet, "you are coming with us for violation of government security.
Everyone gasped in horror at the man's face.  It was Mr. Freedom or at least something the looked identical to his appearance.
