Suggestions In Panultima Endeffect Forums and IRC
Members should add a signature of a line or two with something proclaiming their guild membership.
Try not to argue with members of the guild in public forums. This shows disunity. Disagreeing is fine (and expected when it’s concerning something Masterpoet says) but we want to show as much guild support for our fellow members as possible. Icq and Private Messages are the best ways to let them know if you are diametrically opposed to their view. This bears repeating. We are not saying do not disagree. But having arguments or contradicting each other looks bad when in view of other guilds and players. Respect each other and the board will respect us as a whole.
Whenever possible try to show support for the shard by keeping up to date on changes and keeping active in the forums and IRC. It is the best way to attract new players and help the shard grow.
Try to defend a fellow member when you find them under assault from others. People will be less inclined to start a fight or argument if they know they will be facing half a dozen opponents instead of one easy target. However, don’t go against your own principles in the matter.
Respect staff. This is important to show the volunteer staff members that even in disagreement we will be cordial and respectful. Everyone else is on a case-by-case basis of course.
Benefits to joining Hands of the Divine
There are many benefits for joining HoD… not the least of which is the teamwork, camaraderie, and always having backup when threatened. However most people want more tangible benefits for all the time spent in a purple cape. Well, I can’t say I blame you.
1: New players start out with the HoD “bag of goodies” consisting of items dependant on your main chosen profession. It is a one-time thing but very helpful for the head start every new person needs.
2: HoD will pay for the training of your first four non-start skill to 25%.
3: Often we’ll get discounts at other vendors and taverns because we tend to provide much of their furnishings and food. Any places we get one will be noted to each member as the deals are struck.
4: On HoD vendors most things will just be handed to you if you ask for them. Of course, it depends on the crafter as well. We often sell items made by non-HoD members for a percentage.
5: HoD craftsmen will be provided resources for their skills as they come available to save time from resource gathering.
6: We provide extra armor, shields, and weapons periodically and offer free repairs indefinitely.
7: If/when you are in the market for a house, HoD will give you up to 20,000 gold towards it.
8: Once you place a house, HoD will provide most of the furnishing costs through their own craftsmen. |
