In the beginning... It all started out in 1999 or so. Two Jeep buddies with stock CJ's banging around, getting stuck, and just trying to keep them AMC's running. Both fellas dreaming, but not talking much about how cool it would be, to be in a Jeep club. One day, one of these fellas drew up a nice looking logo for this fantasy club. It was all down hill from there. Stickers were made and handed out to friends, and TAA...DAAA.... The Bedrock Jeepers were formed. Before long a small line of Jeeps were spotted crossing the Mackinaw in route to our first genuine club trip. Not long after that, more folks started showing up at meetings. More stickers on Jeeps... These guys were serious. They talked the talk, and walked the walk. But it seemed most of their time was spent puffing up and mesuring, ah... Lift? I could be wrong. It turns out, we fell short of their expectations. So they up and formed their own club. Good for them. We learned from our little growth spurt. What we wanted was not a big ole throbing mass of super Jeeps. What we wanted was a Jeep family. With all that in mind. We made up our first rule. Only ten families on the members list. You, your wife, and your ten kids can all have Jeeps in the club. Only ten families. Oh ya no memership fees. There is still a few slots open if this sounds rite for you. |
