UMIST gave me the opportunity to work in groups to solve challenging
scientific tasks, where I held a leading role as the chairman. I have
played piano and guitar in many bands and ensembles. I have acquired
significant experience in team work during my time as a waiter and from
team sports. Played for my high-school basketball team, trained with a
Greek rowing team, play defence and goalkeeper for the Manchester
Universities Ice/Inline hockey team (As the assistant captain I always try
to inspire winning and maximum effort in the team). Communication Produced a significant number of individual essays and group
reports during my undergraduate work on different scientific issues
(including a 100 page dissertation), participated in group debates, and
delivered multiple individual and group poster and project presentations. Served

reports, posters or presentations on previously unknown to us scientific
topics under short time deadlines. I always provide the initiative for my
