| Hobbits are bright-eyed, rosey cheeked, short creatures with thick curly brown hair on thier heads and large feet. They are also called the Halflings by other races. Hobbits love eating and drinking, which is reflected through thier 7 meals a day: breakfast, second breakfast, elvensies, luncheon, afternoon tea, dinner, and supper. Hobbits have a passion for pipeweed, ale, and | |||||||||||||||||||||||||

| mushrooms. They did not share a love of learning other than thier own genealogies. Instead of using machines, Hobbits enjoy farming their land with thier own hands in peace. Before the Hobbits settled in the Shire, they were separated into three groups: the Harfoots, the Stoors, and the Fallohides. The Harfoots were the most numerous of the groups. They were dark skinned, small, and beardless. These Hobbits never wore shoes due to thier nimble hands and feet. They lived in tunnels and holes. The Stoors were less shy of men. They lived among the banks of the River Anduin. (Gollum was most likely a Stoor before he was corrupted by the One Ring) The Fallohides were the least numerous. They were more friendly with Elves than other Hobbits and braver. The Fallohides eventually mixed into the other two groups, yet their bravery can still be observed in the leaders among the Hobbits, such as the Masters of Buckland and the Tooks. Hobbits have never been warlike or shown any interest in the matters of the other races. |
