For more information about the US 90 Alternate South Main Expressway project click here.Below are some photos of the construction, plus additional photos that may be of interest. The first photo shows the Post Oak Bridges, one of few bridges that goes over South Main instead of under it. I know some of the photos are poor quality and I'll try to get better ones later.
Before there was South Main, there was Old Main. If anyone knows if Old Main was the original highway for US 90 A and US 59, please let me know.
The first overpass on South Main will be for West Bellfort - the service road will intersect as shown below. West Bellfort will be extended on both sides of South Main.
