The Boston Tea Party is a term commonly used by Americans for the events that took place on December 16th, 1773. On this eventful night, radical colonists, dressed up as American Indians, boarded three tea laden British ships. Upon boarding, they broke into the main hold of the ship and seized 340 chests of tea, estimated to be worth £9,000.The actions taken by the Americans was a result of constant feuding between them and the British. This was a culmination of all those events.

Although the Boston Tea Party was not the direct cause of the American Revolution, it gave Great Britain an idea of what they would have to deal with. The Boston Tea Party was only one step in the road of revolution. However, its significance can not be ignored.
