      The Burgos CF in the 60´s

 A lot of fun in this decade. After the 60-61 season, the club reaches again the 2nd Division,
after a dramatic play off with the Real Gijón who was won by our club 2-3 in Molinón stadium.
But now the 2nd Division was the right division for the club. All the decade the club survived in
this division.  As highlights we can notice thet in 1964 the old Zatorre was abandoned as a new
municial stadium was created: the El Plantio stadium.

The match was Burgos CF vs
Indauchu with victory for our team by 2-0 with this formation:
Solana; Zamora, Pestaña, Arsenio; Paquito, Ventisca; Pita, Matute, Fábregas, Zubiaga y Ferreiro.

The following seasons the team consolidates
in the division, with a very important season
in 1967-68 in wich, the 2nd division was to be
reformed from two groups to one only. 8 teams
were to be "burned off", and after a dramatic
1-0 against the Racing Santander in El Plantio,
the Burgos CF finally reached the salvation.
