Notes and observations:
Discussions of private chats and the sharing of insider information that the general membership should not hear. Also is discussions about buying and selling between themselves secretly and the sharing of advanced information about what is coming from the Studio.

I know we don't have the kind of chat we used to here, and the mods have had that in mind.

We are trying to brainstorm what we can do to make this more fun, and maybe more helpful

Idea #1: Have an OBC chat nite. Any topic goes.

Idea #2: use the OBC to exchange confidential pricing information. There are more really good putters being sold privately. And I think we might be missing out what what they are really selling for. Now, I recognize this might be a two-edged sword. A seller may ask a lot more for a putter and get it. And a prospective buyer might pay more.

I'd love your thoughts on both ideas. And feel free to post any other ideas you have

bill:  i personally would like to have an OBC chat nite.   very nice idea.

it'd be nice if we could share "insider info" on the OBC; but, that could get tricky and it increases the chance of leaks to the general membership, even innocently.

and I'm okay with talking about selling information.  i've recently been selling some putters to a "secret collector" which has been interesting to say the least and now another has found me and wants to buy into my collection, which i find odd in some ways.

I would say that there are MANY wounds that may still be healing.....

I think that is why the OBC has been somewhat dead.

I miss the days when Rand would give us a sneek peak on what was coming up. The problem is other distributors refuse to use TCC at all, and are certainly not interested in the OBC.

Many OBC guys are just not around anymore...at least on here.

Or can we open a Big Chat Room that all the OBC members can log into to chat?

but if the rest of the members of TCC can hear; then, it's not OBC exclusive and we'd have to watch what we say...I think unless I don't follow what this skyke stuff means.

and Vog..adding new members may be cool but they have to be ones that can be discreet.  you would be a great judge of that i would imagine.

Well, I'm not sure how mysterious...

I will say that we won't be using the OBC to bash other people though. If we won't tell them to their face, we won't post it here

Vog

sounds like we'll be going into those "mysterious" kind of chatrooms that I've heard can be dangerous.   smile

Hmm some ideas....

-Next on the collection list (OBC can let other OBC members what they are on the look out for)
-online Chats (Voice or normal)
-Planned Golfing Trip (eg. OBC might be able to hook up, at the PGA)
-Advance News on new releases
-Addition of New members (as listed above and others)

I think of some more during the day and post a bit more later......
