Sandra was one of the first two black
flight attendants hired by EAL. She stayed on with Eastern to the
very end to become the most senior black flight attendant. Sandy's
distinguished career included representing the flight attendants in negotiations,
arbitrations, grievances, etc., while holding various positions with the
Flight Attendants' union.

Dancing Silverliners........
Silverliners Loretta Cafiero
and Irene O'Hea Rasmussen dancing up a storm. Irene came to EAL via
the merger with Colonial Airlines. At that time, she was one of only
approximately 600 "stewardesses" or "air hostesses" (as we were known
then) in the U.S., flying a top seniority run to Bermuda. In those
days at Colonial, Irene was known as "Legs" O'Hea. As this
picture almost shows, she can still claim that title.
