Do you remember Margie Mahoney? --- One of the happiest, 'happy-go-lucky',
excellent F/A's at Eastern. Some of us who flew SJU flights with Marge
knew that she did 'voice-overs' for TV commercials. She is now confined
to a wheelchair after two heart attacks and as many open heart surgeries.
She has been at a rehab facility for the past year and a half, with occasional
weekend visits to her home and family. There's a picture of Marge on the
web site of The Crew Lounge at Gate 7. http://www.oocities.org/thecrewlounge/gate07_.html
I am sure she would like to hear from her friends at EAL. Hopefully we
can make her day with a friendly note: Margie Mahoney, Robinson Terrace
Nursing Home, Rt 23 RR 1 Box 251, Stamford, NY 12167-9614 OR a phone call:
Phone number: 1-607-652-2341 (when you call please allow a fairly long
time until she reaches the phone --- so don't hang up!).

EASTERN L1011 INTERIOR Wed, 30 Aug 2000 03:35:20 GMT Hello, I love
your Eastern web site, "The Crew Lounge." I was wondering if you might
be able to assist me. I am a big Eastern fan and am building a model of
the L1011. It has the left side of the fuselage missing so the interior
can be viewed. Would y u happen to remember what the original interior
looked like when delivered to Eastern? I need to know seat colors, carpet
colors, etc. I know in 1987 when I flew on one (N308EA) it was orange and
brown. Also, out of curiosity, did you ever fly with a g rl named Beverly
Budd? She was a flight attendant based out of New York in the mid 80's.
My dad works with her husband. One more question, did you ever fly on one
of the DC-10's that Eastern flew. Thanks for your help. Keep up the good
work. Jason W lson
Comments:
EASTERN INTERIORS Hello, I really enjoyed your website. I am building
an Eastern L1011 replica with interiors and all and was wondering what
the coach seat/interior colors were of the original L1011 interior when
it was delivered to Eastern. This would have been circa 19 2. Also, what
did the flight attendant uniforms look like then? If you could be so kind
to help me I will email you a picture of the model when it is complete.
Thanks so much, Jason Wilson

I was a MIA F/A in the late '50's and early '60's. Is there possibly
a list of MIA crew names from one of those years? I think of my crews a
lot. I remember first names and exactly what they looked like and their
personalities have lasted forever. I know I would recognize the surnames
if I saw them...a d I keep looking as if to say to myself "yes, this really
did happen".

some kind of organization or at least links to Eastern Airlines. Does anyone
know if Eastern has a "clipped" wings type of organization such as United
has? I was just sitting around here tonight thinking of the old aircraft,
nostalgic about those days through the '50's when I flew for EAL and became
incredibly lonesome for those years!

Great to find a site that features Eastern people! I'm one of the
late Capt. Francis S. Lewis's children. Daddy was with EAL 1945-1979, MIA/NYC,
L1011s, DC8s, and earlier aircraft. His favorite routes were NYC-MEX/ACA/SJU.
He passed away in 1998, after several wonderful years of retirement in
the Texas Hill Country. P.S. By the way, I was the daughter who couldn't
wait to grow up so she could be an Eastern F/A! Interviewed in 79 with
EA, PA, and Braniff, but ended up a USINS inspector at MIA 80-81. Got into
the industry in 1997 at the MX SAT res. ctr. but did not urvive the de-unionization.
Now at Travelocity.com, also SAT. Better late than never!
