My Story
I was diagnosed in March 2000, and ignored the diagnosis because I didn't want to spend the time or money to treat it. NOT A WISE MOVE.
I got really sick at the beginning of July 2000, and could no longer let my Crohn's remain untreated. I got sores in my my mouth and on my legs. The sores on my legs are called erythema nodosum. They first appear like mosquito bites, but get bigger like hives. They don't itch, but feel like bruises. I also began to have immense joint pain, anywhere on my body where something was supposed to bend. Thats when I finally gave up and went to the doctor. Along with the Pred, I took 16 Pentasas a day, the usual dose. Its costly, but effective treatment. I have been in remission for two and a half years now..
Special thanks to my three doctors.
Dr. Niaz Usman, Dr. Aliya Usman Khan, and Dr. Charles Gardner.
