Units are a vital part of your survival (duh). With out units your civilization could not exist, you would thus lose the game. Each culture uses units in a diffrent way. For example, the Norse uses the gather to gather resource, but the Greeks and the Egyptians use the villagers to gather resources and build buildings. Another example is how the Norse uses the infantry to build buildings, but the Greek and Egyptians can not build buildings with the infantry.
