Parent/Teacher Conferences

Over the course of the school year, you may find yourself concerned about the performance of your child.  Parent/Teacher conferences can be done in many different ways:

E-mail Conferences: With the addition of internet capabilities here at school, conferences via e-mail messages have become very popular.  They are convenient for both parents and teachers, and are quick to complete.  If you have access to the internet at home or at work, feel free to send an e-mail to us about anything.... Questions about projects, questions about progress or questions about upcoming events can all be handled quickly.  Look for e-mail addresses from all of your child's teachers during the first week of school.  If you don't receive one, contact Mr. Ferriter at wferriter@wcpss.net.

Traditional Conferences: By calling Mr. Ferriter, our Team Leader, you can schedule a meeting with our entire team.  These meetings usually take place during our team planning period, but can be scheduled for before or after school hours.  We will discuss your child's progress in our classes and address any other concerns that you may have.  We can also invite, at your request, the sixth grade guidance counselor.

Phone Conferences:  Often, you may not be able to get away from work for a parent conference or you may have a small concern that can be addressed over the phone.  In those cases, call our team office (387-4373) and leave a message for the teacher that you need to speak with.  We will get back to you within 24 hours.

Please know that it is our goal to work together with you and your children!  We want to see each of our pupils succeed.  If you ever have questions or concerns, let us know!  We will work hard to help you to understand and to address the needs of your children.
