Creation and Evolution

Since the publication of Whitcomb and Morris' The Genesis Flood in 1961, the creationism movement has slowly gained momentum. The controversy itself is hotter than ever, demanding the attention of the media and secular scientific community, who no longer can treat the issue as dead. The time is ripe for Christians to make known the inerrancy of Bible and the need for salvation as a result of the Fall in Genesis. In an technology-driven culture that demands tangible evidence for truth, creation science is a prime venue for spreading the Gospel, if used correctly. Otherwise it is nothing more than science.

12/6/04 - Americans Reaffirm Belief In Bible

Yet again a secular poll reveals that many American's believe that the Bible is inerrant (55%), that Jesus is God (82%), and that creationism should be taught along side evolution in public schools (62%). Of course, these numbers obviously do not reflect America's spirituality, but they do give hope for creationists.

A secularized European nation once again justifies its actions with evolution.

The announcement last month by the Groningen Academic Hospital came amid a growing discussion in Holland on whether to legalize euthanasia on people incapable of deciding for themselves whether they want to end their lives - a prospect viewed with horror by euthanasia opponents and as a natural evolution by advocates.

God doesn't make trash, but the Netherlands will never know this until they return to the Word of God.

3/25/04 - Washington Post - Pre-Humans May Have Traded Killer Jaws for Bigger Brains
The Washington Post reports that evolutionists have discovered a jaw muscle gene disabled in humans but not in primates. When the gene is disabled, jaw muscles are considerably smaller, allowing more room for the brain. Supposedly this mutation occurred around 2.4 mya.

This discovery is especially exciting for evolutionists because it is more than speculative---it is actually plausible. Notice, however, that the mutation results only in a disabled gene, whereas the bulk of evolutionary history requires increases in genetic information.
