Info: Tai is a natural born leader. He became the leader of the first DigiDestined and was also the one who started the now famous "goggle boy" craze in the fandom. He is always the first to make decisions, and he is quick to fight. This, however, can be his weakness. The reason for this is that when you run into battle without thinking, it can you into serious trouble.

The first Digimon that we see is Koromon, Tai's partner who we better know as Agumon. He is always there to protect Tai even though it can be the other way around at times. It was also Tai who found the first of the 8 Crests and this lead to something he'll never forget.

He tried to force Agumon to Digivolve to his Ultimate form, but this turned out to be the wrong way to do and resulted in Greymon becoming SkullGreymon and almost wrecked the entire place. If Tai and Agumon both hadn't regained their confidence, then MetalGreymon wouldn't have appeared to defeat Etemon.

After that incident, Tai returned to the Real World where we were intoduced to his little sister Kari and she claims to have been to the Digital World, (even though much later she turns out to be a DD later on) and met Koromon. You can also thank Tai for rounding up all the others for when he and Agumon left, they were lost without him.

The battle against Myotismon went back to the Real World and Tai showed why he was so caring, as well as being forgetful as he forgot to bring his phonebook, let alone find it. He later found out that Kari was the 8th DD and was there to comfort Kari as she often wondered what happened to Gatomon. Eventually, this would lead to Agumon, warp-digivolving to WarGreymon as his love for Kari would be the key to it.

If there is one person Tai cares about more than anyone else in the world, it would be Kari. He performs the bigger brother role to her, looking out for her, protecting her, doing what's best for her and so on, and the big sign of this comes getting medicine for her when she felt sick. It did bring up a dark memory from his past where a similar situation almost cost Kari her life and since then, Tai felt bad about it, but this time he'd come through for her, despite getting separated. Izzy got a first-hand look of Tai's frustration when it came to Kari, twice but on both counts he was able to calm Tai down and fix his composure.

There is a love life for Tai and it would have to be Sora. It is true that he did make fun of her when they were younger, but out of all the characters who talked with Sora, Tai did it the most and she was grateful for that. This would get tested in Digimon the Movie, but it all worked out for the best.
