Info: Matt has really changed a lot from Digimon Adventure. For one thing, he has cut his hair giving it a llok that'll make a girl go nuts for him. Also, he no longer plays the harmonica and instead plays the guitar for he is the lead singer in his group, "the Teenage Wolves". He first appeared in Zero Two when Tai called an emergency meeting of the original DigiDestined to discuss on how to deal with the threat of the Digimon Emperor. Matt didn't go to the Digital World until the kids got a message from Gabumon and that a small mexican like town was under the Emperor's control. It was here that Gabumon was able to become Garurumon and destroy the control spire.

The next appearance for Matt was embarasing for him, for he had to call Davis' house and make up a story to explain why he was so late getting home, due to his curfew. June, Davis' sister knew Matt was lieing so instead of telling, she let Matt take her to the most expensive resturant in town. He didn't even know how that ended up being the resolution, but he sure got suckered into it.

Matt didn't appear for a short time, until Yolei brought him with her to deal with Agumon being captured by the Emperor. Matt went up to Tai and punched him in the face, and Tai thanked him for it with Matt added he'd do it anytime.(Shows you how much they get along so well) The group then went along to find the Emperor and discovered the Crest of Friendship inscibed in a wall. Below it was the DigiEgg of Friendship, which Matt tried to pull yet didn't work, but it was Davis who was meant to have it, but had to prove his friendship first.

During the anniversary of Myotismon's defeat, TK got to spend some time with Matt and their dad and Matt whipped him up a meal that TK said he'd needed a doctor for it.(assuming that it wasn't edible). A few days later, Izzy suggested about going on a camping trip as a means of a coverup. Matt suggested that his dad be the supervisor despite it being an idea thought up without planning it out first. He, Tai and Izzy would then spend the entire battle against Kimeramon from the real world, with only Izzy's laptop as a means of getting a progress report.

Matt didn't appear again until Christmas, where his band was having a concert. Sora baked some cookies for him and said to Tai that she was going alone unless Matt was available afterwards. He was singing pretty well, until the wild Digimon showed up and ruined the entire thing. During the Digimon World Tour, Matt and Ken went to Mexico and had to get into the ancient temple where the Digimon were located, the guards tried to stop them(they used guns in the original), but Jose, Gennai's Mexican counterpart was able to distract them long enough for Matt, Ken, and a Mexican DigiDestined named Rosa to get in and deal with the problem there.

After this, Matt had a couple of appearances during the battle against SkullSatamon, and where he with the others, minus Tai and Sora were waiting for Oikawa to come by. Matt was aware that Tai was with Sora yet he trusted Tai for they were friends. Tai and Sora were watching Noriko who had the Dark Spore removed from her when Oikawa obtained it. The last scene for Matt was when he was at the gateway to the Digital World at the summer camp where the journey had first begun and he and the older kids joined the final battle against MaloMyotismon.

25 years later, Matt and Gabumon have become astronauts and are the first man and mon to land on Mars and becoming the first to explore the red planet. He is married to Sora and has a son and a daughter.(At first this wasn't certain but was confirmed later)
