Info: Tai hasn't changed much physically, he still hasn't cut his hair and has instead let it grow out of proportion. When the Digimon Emperor began his plans to conquer the Digital World, Agumon called Tai to help him and he came through(how he did this isn't clear) but after a while, he sent an email to Kari, yet was intercepted by Yolei by accident. After meeting Patamon and Gatomon again, they all arrived in a cave that housed a strange egg, with a spike sticking out of it; it also had the Crest of Courage on it.

He attempted to lift it, but with no luck, but by touching it, three beams of light shot out and found three new DigiDestined. TK and Kari along with Davis later came to the Digital World, and Tai was surprised to see Davis. During a fight with a Monochromon, Davis' goggles got destroyed and Tai gave him his as they were a symbol of the leader of the DigiDestined.

The next night, Tai called a meeting of the old DigiDestined, minus Mimi who was living in America and they were all worried about what was going to happen to their Digimon, and planned on what to do next. The decison was for Tai, Sora and Izzy to join the others on their next trip to the Digital World, yet Tai had to stay behind due to Mr. Fujiyama appearing.

Tai was next seen briefly after Gabumon became Garurumon again to survey the situation. It was also discovered that the Control Spires stopped digivolution so that had to be torn down.

Yolei emailed tai to help them when Kari and Gatomon got left behind in the Digital World and wound up meeting Andromon again who under the Emperor's control. Thanks to memories from Season 1, Andromon broke free. At the soccer game, Tai gave Davis a lot of encouragement, despite his team being walloped 9-1 due to Ken arriving to help out his team.

He was next seen when he heard that Agumon had been captured by Ken, who was the Emperor and planned to use him to take over the Digital World. Tai reverted to his old attitude about running into battle without thinking and he even blamed himself for Agumon becoming a virus version of MetalGreymon. Yet Matt showed up and punched him in the face and Tai thanked him for doing it. They pursued the Emperor and discovered the DigiEgg of Friendship which Davis then used.

Later during the summer months, the new kids had to go to the Digital World and defeat Ken for good, but they had to stay there until it was done, and that would arrouse suspicion due to both worlds being in sync. Tai decided that they should all go camping, with the older group covering for the new group. Even Matt's dad got in on the act for they needed supervision and he was the only person that Matt could think of on such short notice.

After that Tai didn't show up for a while until Christmas where he and the older kids got to see their Digimon again in the real world as a present. At Matt's concert, Sora brought some cookies with her and Tai had asked her if she was going with anyone. She replied she was going along, or with Matt in case he was free, Tai didn't stop and wished her luck. Agumon said that Tai had finally grown up as he dealt with love, even though it didn't work out for him.

During the Digimon World Tour, Tai and TK headed to Paris to send the Digimon there back to the Digital World. TK's grandpa gave them a ride in his bike and a battle ensued in the Palace of Versailles against the Mamemon brothers and Giromon. They had kidnapped Catherine, a French DigiDestined and with her help they defeated all 4 Digimon sending them back home, but not before Tai and TK gave Catherine a kiss.

Coming back home, Tai and the others had to take on the Daemon Corps and although the older Digimon had to give up their power to help Imperialdramon reach his Fighter Mode, the older kids just left for home and didn't get involved with the rest of the Corps. yet Tai along with Kari went back to the Digital World due to BlackWarGreymon's return for he was seeking Oikawa. Tai's digivice allowed Agumon to become WarGreymon due to Azulongmon's second energy boost and the battle of the WarGreymon began, although Imperialdramon stepped in to help out.

Tai was seen briefly in two places, where BlackWarGreymon was fatally injured and when he and Sora followed Noriko, the black spore child who Oikawa absorbed the dark spore from her. After hearing that MaloMyotismon was in the Digital World, Tai and the older kids and practically everyone else, returned to the summer camp where it all started and managed to open the gate to the Digital World there and helped to defeat MaloMyotismon once and for all.

25 years later, Tai has finally cut his hair and he and Agumon are dipolmats for the Digital World, dealing with the relations and problems from both worlds. He has a son who looks like his younger self in every way.
