Info: Yolei is the oldest of the new DigiDestined and is also a mechanical wiz, similar to Izzy. She is the one behind the sound mixes in Matt's band, known as the Teenage Wolves, and is known to be very hyper. Her involvement with Digimon began in March 2000, during the battle between WarGreymon, MetalGarurumon and Diaboromon on the internet. Yolei was one of many kids who sent emails and witnessed the fight on her home computer. Yet after the battle, she retained no memory of what happened, yet it would come back to her years later.

In the present day, Yolei lives in the same apartment as TK and Cody and her family owns and runs the convenience store below so she gets to take some food with her. When Tai emailed Kari to come to the Digital World, it was intercepted by Yolei accidentally and she began to ask questions about the Digital World. These questions became more intense when she received her D3 resulting in both her and Cody getting to visit the Digital World the next day, even though she wanted to do so right away.

The next day came and when Yolei and the others entered the Digital World, she sported a new outfit(see pic above) and right from the start she complained the entire way from climbing the stairs to the temple, from wanting to fight. Sora told her that she reminded her of Mimi. Apparantly, Yolei was acting exactly the way Mimi used to back during Digimon Adventure and that's why Sora brought it up, yet thanks to her reasurrance, Yolei lifted up the DigiEgg of Love, and found her partner, Hawkmon. At first, she didn't like the idea of having a partner, but after having their first battle, she accepted her new responsibility.

Over the next few days, Yolei did her role by helping her friends battle the Digimon Emperor, yet on one weekend, they decided to have a picnic in the Digital World and to relax. It was here that Yolei, Davis, and Cody met Mimi for the first time and she was invited to join them. Yolei and Mimi would wind up getting separated and ending up in a place called the Night Forest where Mimi and Palmon had their reunion. After being attacked by the Roachmon brothers, Yolei had a small dream sequence about what it would be like if she and Mimi were sisters.(This is because Yolei idolizes Mimi, and it also led into a big fandom argument about the true purpose of this dream) Using a search light, the two girls caused the Roachmon to crash into the control spire, freeing all the Digimon in that area.

Yolei is also crazy about boys, especially Ken Ichijouji, and imagines her and him getting married(she was right too) and at the soccer game, she kept on tugging on Poromon as she was so excited as she was going to see him in person. At first, he didn't show up, but then he finally did so and her crush on him grew even more. Later on, she and the others were captured and Davis was almost tricked into giving up, yet the others came back and spoiled the Emperors plan, yet Yolei was shocked to learn that the Digimon Emperoor, was the very guy she had a crush on....Ken. Because of this, she wasn't able to come into the Digital World as she was trying to figure things out and come to terms with the situation. Eventually, she would help the others once again in saving Agumon.

Her next adventure came when Sora asked her and the others to help her save Biyomon who had been shot down by Airdramon. The group wound up in an old wild west town, under the watch from Starmon. He gave them all glasses of milk as sort of a welcome gesture, yet he revealed that he too was under the Emperor's control and tossed them all in jail. Deputymon came to save them, but would only let the girls out as he wanted them to play cards with him and because guys always cheat. Yolei and Sora witnessed the battle he had with Starmon, and even had to play cards when it all said and done.

Not much has been said for Yolei's feelings, yet they came into full bloom, when they next saw Mimi who had brought Michael, another DigiDestined with her. Yolei felt slightly jealous as it appeared that Mimi had a boyfriend and she didn't have one. She was also very snappy as Digitamamon was to her, yet Mimi assured her that he didn't mean it, although she wasn't too sure. He'd later come back as a slave of the Emperor and when he knocked Mimi down, Yolei just snapped. She got in his face, and expressed every last amount of her feelings at him, and it was enough for her to receive the DigiEgg of Sincerity. Yolei got this as she was being sincere with her feelings and Hawkmon used it to armor digivolve to Shurimon to free Digitamamon.

Those very emotions would come back later when Kari suggested that they stay in the Digital World until Ken was defeated once and for all. This upset Yolei at first as this was something she hadn't done before, but the next day, she was all fired up and the excitement rushed to her head. In fact, when they got her, she acted like she was a crazed lunatic or something, climbing up a control spire and observing the land, to even punching the air. She'd come back to reality when Hawkmon was hurt badly thanks to a Dokugumon, all because of her actions. Kari opted to stay with Yolei and she and Hawkmon had a personal moment where she understood what she had done and why Hawkmon admired who she is. The Emperor's base then revealed itself to be floating in the air, just as Yolei said it was earlier and the finall battle began. During this battle, Yolei did what the others were doing, and trying to defeat Kimeramon, and after the battle was won, she and the others clued in Ken on what he had done and he left for home in a bad state.

The next few days saw the team cleaning up the Digital World as much as they could. Yolei commented about Davis and Veemon running away from Tortomon and that she and the others were working while he was having fun. As for her apparant lover, Ken would return with Wormmon and had him destroy Thundermon. The group couldn't believe that he did that and didn't want him to join the team. Yolei was strongly towards this, but when Golemon appeared and tried to destroy a dam, Mimi was going to invite Ken. Yolei protested, but Mimi did it anyway. It was here that Palmon revealed that Golemon wasn't a rela Digimon and was only a control spire turned into Digimon. Yolei realized that Ken must have known about this from the start and it also explained why he destroyed Thundermon. She also realized that he had changed and wanted to help out. This burst of feelings, allowed Hawkmon to digivolve to Aquillamon and after the battle, Yolei sent Ken an email for she was hoping that he'd join with them soon.

Some time later, the DD's were on the trail of Arukenimon who had been using the spires to create Digimon and Mummymon her partner in crime had been helping her. They took a break after escaping from Giga House and Yolei noted that Cody and Ken still didn't get along as Cody still couldn't forgive him. She and Davis had an idea that if Armadillomon and Wormmon destroyed a spire together and show how they can work together, maybe Ken and Cody could too. This didn't work, forcing Ken to leave the group and leaving Yolei annoyed. She would later track him down saying that the others needed his help, yet when he said that he couldn't, Yolei got so annoyed by his attitude that she slapped him hard in the face which got him to change his mind. She apologized for doing it and said that it was the only way he'd come, yet it didn't help to defeat BlackWarGreymon who proved to be way too powerful for the kids to stop.

When it was decided that the group needed to find Gatomon's lost Tail Ring, Kari wanted Yolei to go with her and the two of them found Ken who was screaming his lungs out. He was in some kind of emotional pain, and Kari knew what it was, yet Yolei had no idea. The three of them then stumbled into the World of Darkness due to finding an open rift, and Yolei began to lose when Kari slapped some sense into her. Them she saw the Dark Ocean part of this world and Kari began to feel her pain of darkness once again. Arukenimon added to the trouble by creating a Blossomon, and Kari was in total fear, saying that she'd never be able to escape the darkness, and that's when Yolei slapped her, a return favor if you will. She comforted Kari saying that there was nothing to be afraid of. Their hearts acted as one, causing Aquillamon and Gatomon to DNA digivolve to Silphymon. This new fusion would be useful during the Destiny Stone situation and was needed to battle BlackWarGreymon.

At Christmas, Yolei and the others got invited to Ken's place for a get togteher and she got excited, especially when it came to playing a few card games. This was interupted when Tai called Kari to warn about Digimon who had begun to appear. This later escalated into the Digimon World Tour, and Yolei joined Sora and the two headed for Russia. Because Gennai's counterpart Ilya was late in his arrival, a language barrier came up as no one understood the other. Yolei came up with a great plan, by using certain Russian food names as attack signals and it worked against the Flymon. She and Sora later went to Siberia where Mammothmon had to be sent back; Sora couldn't handle the sheer cold and she fell off of Garudamon, and Aquillamon saved her just as Imperialdramon came to save the day.

There is one thing about Yolei which hasn't been said, as it hasn't come up until now. She had never killed a real Digimon before and was not aware that, that was a part of the job. She and Kari would go after LadyDevimon and Silphymon was needed to battle her. It was intense, but when Silphymon was down, LadyDevimon grabbed an innocent bystander and threatened to hurt him. This caused Yolei to hit her with a skateboard and got her into trouble. Silphymon destroyed her, shocking Yolei for she had never seen a real Digimon get killed. This made her very upset, yet Kari told her that the evil Digimon had to be killed for what they do is wrong. They'd both later join the fight against Daemon.

She was seen dealing with the return of BlackWarGreymon, not to mention witnessing his final act of kindness, and even pursued Oikawa who had everything he needed to enter the Digital World, yet it was revealed that MaloMyotismon was inside of him all along and the time had come for him to be reborn. He used his Mental Illusion attack and Yolei saw a vision with her being an only child.(This is because she has two older sisters and an older brother and is often passed over or just ignored) and it was here that she realized that she truly cared for her siblings and thus was able to use the dream dimension like the others could and all of Hawkmon's forms appeared to take on MaloMyotismon and is was enough to send him back into the Digital World where he was eventually finished for good.

25 years later, Yolei and Ken have gotten married and have three kids, a girl, a boy and a baby whose gender is not known. She is a housewife who seems to enjoy her role around the house.
