Story: Sigma has reapeared and is now back. This time Zero is gona and Megaman X has to fight of the Mavericks all on his own. Shortly after X starts his battle against Sigmas Maverick creations he soon finds out that Zero's parts are still intact. He also discovers that his memory chip is still with Dr. Cain in the computers. Three Mavericks called X Hunters hold on to a piece of Zero's parts. X is challenged by them to defeat them and retrieve each of Zero's parts to restore him. Agile, Surges, and Violen are the "X Hunters."

Bubble Splasher- This Weapon shoots a short range bubble attac at the opposing Maverick. When charged it will become a offensive shield.

In Megaman X2 after ever level you complete the game gives you a passcode to continue on. Below is a passcode that has all the Mavericks defeated, all Sub Tanks, All Heart Conainers, but no Shuryuken.

Crystal Hunter- When fired it shoots a liquid ball that engulfs the enemy into ice on impact. If charged, it slows everything down.
Speed Burner- This Weapon shoots a fireball. When charged, it makes Megaman X's Dash have a firey boost to it.
Magnet Mine- When fired it shoots a mine that can go anywhere controlled by the D-Pad. If charged, the weapons power is enhanced.
Silk Shot- Silk Shot shoots bad terrain at the opponet. If charged, it gathers all the near by terrain and collects into a big blast.
Sonic Slicer- When fired, Sonic Slicer will shoot two blades across the screen. When charged, it rain blades hitting all enemies on the screen.
Spin Wheel- This Weapon shoots a big blade that travels along the ground hitting any near by enemies. When charged, it will fire blades in all directions.
Spike Chain- When shot it shoots a grapling hook from Megaman X's Buster and can be used to reach un-reachable places and inflict damage on enemies. If charged, the chain becomes bigger and longer.
Leg Part- The Leg part is located at the tail end of Overdrive Ostrich's stage. But in order to obtain it you will need Spin Wheel to break the wall where the capsule is located.
Body Armor Part- The Body Armor part can be located at the beggining of Morph Moth's stage. But first again in order to obtain this part you need the Spin Wheel Weapon from Wheel Gator. Just use Spin Wheel in the room close to the entrance to the Magnetic Room.
Helmet Part- The Helmet Part is found in Crystal Snails stage. As you play though the stage about in the middle of the stage slide down on the left side of a pit until you see a hallway with gun turrents in it. Just venture your way though that hall and you've got it.
Buster Part- Before you can get this part make sure that you have the Leg Part. Now at the beggining of Wheel Gator's stage you'll be able to locate the Buster Part. Use the Air-Dash to climb up the shaft to reach the capsule.
