Melbourne is renowned for its sporting events and venues. We host a myriad of sporting events, amongst which the AFL Grand Final, The Grand Prix, The Australian Open Tennis Tournament and The Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival are the largest.
Most of the ball and track events are held at:
The Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG)
Olympic Park and Stadium
The Rod Laver Arena and Tennis Centre
..all of which are just a fifteen minute walk from us.
The Duke is the closest pub to the MCG from the city, so don't forget to have a couple of cold beverages with us before you go to watch your favourite team go to battle.
Transport to all of the other events are so close, you just have to step out the front door. Here a tram will take you directly to, or connect with, other public transport that will arrive at any of the major sporting venues.
