HWF Promo #18: A Mind Liberating Experience

Once you enter the zone like that there’s no telling what could happen. However, you’ve got to remember that whilst you’re busy daydreaming about the prospect of slapping Farmer Joe around the ring…Chris Champion is actually in the thick of the action fighting for his life. It’s not only my life that I’m fighting for though because I’m here to save you from the mundane past that you wish to forget for at least a little while longer.

Maybe you didn’t realise that I was the good guy in all of this. I don’t really care what your opinion of me is. What I do care about is the gift that I was born with and that I’ve been commanded to use for the benefit of, not only myself, but others too. That gift would be to obviously liberate the minds of the fans that are watching and to allow them to subconsciously understand that people like Dominic Pericolo have no place in our world anymore. They pollute our minds by allowing the common man to believe that the human race is free. Once you’re able to see past the flesh, it becomes obvious that people like Pericolo are nothing more than clones of the corporate whores that try to suppress the freedom of our society.

Pericolo can hide behind his little fan base all he wants but the public that are so quick to flock around him are oblivious to the truth. Why protect the devil when the sword of righteousness is ready to strike? I feel physically sickened by the emotion that some fans show towards people like him. These fans have never actually lived.

They’ve been eaten up by the system and they’ve been told that it’s socially acceptable to ‘like’ guys like Pericolo. Where’s the freedom of choice?

Exactly. There is none. That’s the reason that I’m the one that’s walking down that ramp and stepping through those ropes too. I see through the lies and understand the real truths in life.

People like Dominic Pericolo will try and hide the truth from you every day though. He’s the same man that will tell you that you’re entitled to an hour for your lunch break before telling you at 12:25 that the office is really busy and it’d be appreciated if you could manage without your sandwich for just one day. Nothing ever ends with one day though, does it? The cycle continues for a lifetime. That is unless there comes a point where everything can be decisively finished. One moment. One prize. One goal.

Maybe your one moment will arrive when your boss tells you that your services are no longer required. You might have been fired but why not flip him the middle finger just to prove that you’re not a puppet and that you believe in freedom? Is there a law against moving your fingers? Hell, even if there is, do it anyway. You’ve earned your moment of glory and the satisfaction you’d feel if you walked out of that Office after flipping your boss would be paralleled only by sex with Jenna Jameson.

The point is that people do actually need to try and live their lives. You can describe wrestling as an escape from the normal as you want to but unless the world begins to try and make a choice then freedom isn’t possible. People like me can only provide you with an eye opener. You must wake up for yourself.

That’s a problem within itself half of the time. Over the past few decades, we’ve seen increased rates of insomnia and that’s led to a generation of dazed individuals that can’t tell the difference between reality and illusion. When you wake up in the morning society tells you to brush your teeth and then wash your face. Break the trend. Do it the other way around. Unless you’re physically and mentally aware that you’re awake then your teeth won’t become any cleaner. It’s all about your state of mind and whether you want to believe that your teeth are in fact becoming cleaner.

But then, who cares about teeth? What the hell am I saying?

I could list you example after example of ways in which the general public has been brain washed by people like Dominic Pericolo. Instead of using mere words to convey their message, it’s now common place to speak without the moving of lips. Subliminal messages. Body language alone is enough to convince a man that he has to sit in a particular way. Why do people actually cross their legs when they sit down? It’s not particularly comfortable. They do it for the same reason that human beings feel the need to plaster coloured paper upon their walls. They do it for the same reason that people take their driving test before they reach twenty

Because it’s expected.

The weight of expectation is another means by which the common man feels compelled to try and please. Everything has always been about targets, goals and the outcome of events. No one actually cares about effort anymore. Why should they though? What’s the point in merely ‘trying’? That’s how I’ve come to separate the winners from the losers. Whereas perhaps Chris Champion would ‘do’ and Dominic Pericolo would ‘try’.

I’m going into this match on Sunday with my head held high and my pride in tact. This has never been about ‘trying’ to win the North American title. It’s been about the actual winning of the title. That’s the target that I’ve been set and it’s about time I put my ‘hottest newcomer’ label to bed and actually started to win some gold.

Just last week I was approached by a small boy that wished to know what it was like to explode upon the scene of this Company and leave an instant mark. Now, usually, I’d dismiss idiots of this nature because I’m far too busy to allow every Tom, Dick and Harry to stop me on the street. However, this kid was intelligent and reminded me of younger years and it was for that reason that I allowed him to continue with his questions.

Am I still considered as a new boy here in the HWF?

I certainly don’t think so. You’re always going to find yourself labelled like that in a Company where the list of veterans is seemingly never ending. It doesn’t really bother me though. I’m the guy that’s been winning the matches. I’m the guy that’s here to represent freedom of the mind.

More importantly, I’m your next North American Champion.

You see, this is all in keeping with routines and the way that life works in general. I have arrived. I do compete. I will conquer. There’s no denying me the accolades that I deserve simply because I carry the burden of a polluted world on my shoulders. By winning this title belt, I’ll be in an even greater position to educate the people with regards to our corrupt freedom. More power. More prestige.

That’s why it amazes me when people look towards me as a villain. Did Robin Hood not rob from the rich to give to the poor? Back in the day, good old Robin used any means necessary to get the job done. If he had to shoot you in the back or hit you with a steel chair to complete his mission then he’d do just that. That’s exactly the attitude that I carry into my HWF life.

Unlike Robin though, I’m much more of a thinker. I’m not prepared to jump castle walls or hold the royal family at knife point to achieve my goals. Why should I go to all that effort? Wrestling provides me with the platform that my personality requires. It’s a lot less messy than being a fugitive too.

So, now I find myself in a position to elevate my name to the point where I’m placed in the same category as the legends like Robin Hood. Maybe people in the future will mention Chris Champion in the same breath as William Wallace of Braveheart fame. I’m a liberator of the mind and the only way to take my mission forward is by beating Dominic Pericolo this Sunday.

The history between us is well documented. I don’t hate Dominic though. This is very much about finding out which one of us is the better man. Even Pericolo couldn’t say that he’s walking into this match with an air of caution. This is my back yard. Unless he’s prepared to go all out for the victory then I’m going to be the man returning home with the spoils.

This is going to be one of the most intense matches in HWF history and I question whether or not Pericolo is ready for it.

He is but a simple man with no real idea of the kind of evil that he represents. He wouldn’t understand that he’s pretty much the personification of everything that’s wrong with our society. In effect, you could go as far as saying that he’s the invisible wall that keeps the common man caged like a wounded animal. That’s why this contest has such huge implications for the winner. Can good finally triumph over evil?

Anything but a victory could have major consequences.

If I don’t win this match then it would simply be another example of the futileness of resisting the cycle. Can the common man overcome the corporate power and prove that he is free? That’s the big question and it’s my duty to answer it this Sunday night. I hope you all can see that this match is just as much about the way we live our lives as it is title belts.

It’s for that reason that I can’t allow myself to lose.

It’s for that reason that I won’t allow myself to lose.

It’s for that reason that I will force freedom upon these people. It’s time to liberate the nation and help clear the smog from shrouding their vantage point. So, let the hero step forward. Let the trumpets roar with passion.

Come Sunday night, Pericolo will be nothing more than a memory and the people of the world will be exposed to a world with no boundaries.

A world without Dominic Pericolo.
