The Chaos Queen

Godzilla VS the Chaos Queen

It was three o’clock in the afternoon. Kotohonou was getting ready for her date with Tokiya. Kaosu was trying to convince Kurei not to get too mad at Kotohonou.

"But she took a picture of me without my robe on and she said she was going to put it on the Internet!" Kurei said.

"I know, I know, but just calm down, I’m sure she’s just kidding." Kaosu said trying to comfort him.

"But you’re not positive." Kurei said, "Tell me the truth, would she do it?"

"Well," Kaosu began, "she might put it on her site, but no one ever goes to her site, so it’s ok, right?"

The doorbell rang and Kotohonou ran to open it. "Bye Hana-sama! Bye Kurei! See you when I get back!" Kotohonou said as she proceeded to go outside.

"When are you coming back?" Kaosu asked, she had act like a parent, it was her job, besides, who else would.

"Um…maybe eleven?" Kotohonou asked.

"Ok, go ahead, have fun!" Kaosu said.

"Thank you! I will! Bye-bye!" Kotohonou closed the door after her.

"So, what do you want to do?" Kaosu asked Kurei.

"I don’t know, want to watch some TV?" Kurei replied. He really wanted to tell her how he feels about her, but he wasn’t sure how she felt about him.

"Okay. Let’s see what’s on." Kaosu said as she grabbed the remote. "Oh, look Escaflowne is on, want to watch that, it’s good anime!"

"I don’t like that show, it’s too much of a soap opera."

"Ok, how about…what the…what the heck is Flame of Recca?"

"I don’t know, but it sounds stupid."

"Sure does. Ok, how about, oh look, there’s a Godzilla marathon that goes from 3 to midnight, want to watch that?"

"Yeah, ok. If that’s the only thing on." Kurei said.

"Well, we could watch that, or, we could try Flame of Recca." Kaosu asked. They both started laughing. "Godzilla it is then!"

Kaosu sat next to Kurei and they began watching one of the many Godzilla movies.

"Ok, I don’t get it." Kaosu asked.

"What don’t you get?" Kurei said.

"Why would aliens from a far away galaxy come to earth, crash land in the ocean, only to reawake billions of years later, to fight Godzilla?" Kaosu asked.

"Well, you see," Kurei began, trying to answer her question, "you see…well…just watch the movie."

"You don’t know, do you?" Kaosu teased.

"Of course I know, but, I don’t want to tell you, that’s all."

"Riiiight."

They continued to watch the marathon for quite some time until…

"Oh, no! Godzilla is attacking!" Kurei yelled as he got up off the couch.

"What?" Kaosu asked as she got up.

"Look out the window!" Kurei said. Kaosu looked out the window only to see a big giant lizard destroying the town.

"We must stop it!" Kurei said as he grabbed Kaosu by the arm and dragged her out of the house.

"I thought Godzilla wasn’t real!" Kaosu exclaimed.

"You doubted TV?" Kurei said. They raced into town and met up with Tokiya and Kotohonou.

"Which way did it go?" Kurei asked them.

"It went that way, just follow the path of destruction." Kotohonou said.

"But," Tokiya said, "Mothra is also on the lose!"

"And so is the Smog Monster!" Kotohonou said.

"Ok, Kotohonou, you go after the Smog Monster and Tokiya, you can go after Mothra, ok?" Kaosu ordered.

"Yeah, okay!" Tokiya and Kotohonou said as they ran to face their opponents.

"Come on, we have to go fight Godzilla!" Kurei said.

"Yeah, but how are we going to catch up to it?" Kaosu asked.

"We could use a car, right about now." Kurei said. Just than they noticed, a red Porsche that had not been damaged, with it’s keys in the ignition.

"How convenient!" Kaosu exclaimed. They got into the car and Kurei raced down the streets. Than they saw him, up close in person, Godzilla.

"Now what?" asked Kaosu as she looked up at the giant lizard.

"Hmmmm, good question." Kurei said. Just then an alien space ship appeared before them.

"Ok, now this is getting really weird." Kaosu said.

"I’ll go fight the aliens while you go fight Godzilla." Kurei said as he ran off.

"Okay…" she said as she wondered how she was going to actually do this. Godzilla started walking towards her and the ground began to shake. Kaosu grabbed onto a lamppost for support. She tried using her wind power, but nothing came out.

"What?! How’s this possible?" Kaosu said. She tried to summon her chaos spikes, but they too didn’t appear.

"Great, now, what am I supposed to do?" she said as she clung to the lamppost.

Godzilla sat down, scratched his head and said, "How am I supposed to know? It’s your dream!"

Kaosu slowly opened her eyes. Her head was resting on something and her face was buried in what felt like cloth. Her arms were hugging something, but she didn’t know what. She looked up and saw Kurei looking down at her.

"AAAHHHH! It’s Godzilla!" Kaosu screamed; she had not fully woken up yet. She released her grip on Kurei’s waist and tumbled off the couch.

"Are you okay?" Kurei asked as he got off the couch to help Kaosu get back up.

"I’m okay, I’m fine, I’m good." Kaosu said.

"Here, let me help you up." Kurei said as he gave her his hand. She grabbed it and he pulled her up.

"I’m sorry I fell asleep on your lap and gave you a ‘death grip’ on your waist." Kaosu said, a little embarrassed.

"It’s okay. I didn’t mind." Kurei said.

Kaosu gave him weird look, shook her head and said, "Oh, you turned off the TV."

"Yeah, after you fell asleep, I turned it off."

"Then, why didn’t you wake me up?"

"Because…I…didn’t want to wake you." Kurei said. Kaosu gave him another weird look. "What?" Kurei said, he turned red.

"Nothing." She said as she shook her head, "You’re a very strange person that’s all."

"Well, tell me about your dream." Kurei said, "Was I in it?" Kurei crossed his fingers. "Please let me be in it." He thought.

"Well, you were in it."

"Yes!" he thought to himself.

"And we were fighting Godzilla, well, I was fighting Godzilla. Kotohonou was fighting the Smog Monster, Tokiya was fighting Mothra, and you went off to fight the aliens."

"Why were you hugging my waist?" Kurei asked hopping she was hugging him in her dream.

"Well, I was hugging a lamppost for some reason…I guess that’s why I hugged you…hey, you were the lamppost!" she said as she slapped him on the back.

"I see…" he said, a little disappointed. "Well, I think you’ve seen enough Godzilla for today."

"What time is it?" Kaosu asked.

"It’s seven o’clock." Kurei said, "Do you want to have something to eat?"

"Yeah, sure, what do you have?"

"Well, we could have some Godzilla meat, or some Godzilla eggs." Kurei said with a smile.

"No, thank you." Kaosu said. They both laughed.
