The Chaos Queen

The Dinner at Kagero’s House
Kaosu sat at the head of the table with Kotohonou at her right and Kurei at her left. Kotohonou made Tokiya sit next to her. Next to Tokiya sat Recca. Across from Kaosu sat Kagero. Next to Kagero sat Yanagi. Touketsu was the only one "willing" to sit next to Kurei.

While they were having dinner Kotohonou kept staring at Tokiya. Tokiya was a little uncomfortable at Kotohonou starring so he tried to keep is mind off of it by talking to Recca and Yanagi and asking Kaosu about the past. Yanagi and Recca kept flirting with each other. Kagero wanted to know all about what Kaosu did in the last 300 years. Touketsu would stare at Kaosu and Kaosu would play the "staring game" with her, but she would always end up laughing historically. Kurei would try to "escape" by saying he needed to go to the bathroom, needed to get a drink, and so forth, but Kaosu would follow him and wait by the bathroom door or follow him into the kitchen. She wasn’t about to let him get away that easily.
"Oh, by the way", Kaosu said to Kagero, "I figured out what my REAL power is."
The room fell silent.
"You did?" Kagero said excitedly, "What is it?"
"Nope, can’t let you know. It’s like my secret weapon." Kaosu said with a smile.
"Well, is it like a summoning spell?" Recca asked inquisitively, " I mean, I have flame dragons, do you have something like that?"
"I DON’T GET IT!" Touketsu said angrily, "I can’t believe how many times I’ve told you that a person name Kaosu KILLED my parents and you’re treating her as if that didn’t matter!"
"Listen," Kotohonou said, "she has given you so much, yet you can’t forgive her."
"Forgive her? Why should I?" Touketsu asked.
"You are a very rich person now, why? Because she gave you a bag of gold coins, remember? When you went into the portal? Those coins were worth a fortune! And when you attacked her she could have easily killed you but she didn’t!"
"Why are you defending THIS monster!" Touketsu yelled.
"YOU DON’T KNOW HER!" Kotohonou yelled back, "The truth is she was ordered to kill your parents and retrieve your weapon. If she didn’t thousands of innocent people would have died!"
Kaosu was quite embarrassed by all of this and turned red. Kurei just smiled, he wanted to see where this would go. Recca, Tokiya, and Yanagi just watched, they didn’t want to get into a 300-year-old fight. Kagero was feeling a little uneasy she didn’t like arguments.
"Besides," Kotohonou began, "do you REALLY want to know what I think of YOUR so called parents."
"Don’t go there…" Kaosu mumbled to Kotohonou.
"I think," Kotohonou said, "that your parents were inconsiderate of your safety. Hana-sama demanded that your family gives up your precious weapon or they would die. They chose to die and in doing so sentenced your brother and yourself to death. Hana-sama and I have talked about that incident and do you know what? She told me that if they gave her the weapon that she could have faked their deaths easily, but since your foolish parents decided not to give up the weapon, her gang was thirsty for their blood. She couldn’t have done anything to save them, but she chose to save you! She knew you were hiding in the house and she decided to let you live!"
Touketsu left the table and stormed out of the house. The room fell silent. Kagero didn’t like the silence. "Anyone for dessert?" She quickly asked.
Everyone agreed to have dessert. Kagero came back with a chocolate cream pie.
"So, Kaosu-sama," Kagero said trying to start a conversation, "tell us one of your adventures."
"Well," Kaosu started, "there was this one time when me and Kotohonou were…"
10 minutes passed
Kaosu’s story was quite detailed and graphic. Much of the story was rather bloody and violent. Kotohonou sat listening to her master’s story and remembering the good old days. Tokiya was marveled at her wonderful story telling abilities, but was becoming a little nauseous. Kurei was shocked. He only had known her for a month and never dreamed she could be so scary. Recca was turning a pale green. Kagero looked a little horrified and Yanagi mysteriously disappeared.
"…so he jumped up really high over my head. I took my sword and ran it up his…"
"Coffee anyone?" Kagero interrupted, she couldn’t take it anymore.
"Oh, why yes, I would like a cup." Kaosu said and smiled.
"Me too!" cried Kotohonou.
"Hey, where’s Yanagi?" Kaosu asked.
"Oh, she’s been in the bathroom for the last five minutes." Recca said.
Yanagi finally came out of the bathroom. They all sat sipping their coffee.
"You know," Kaosu said, "I’m so tired of moving from apartment to apartment every three years, you know, so they won’t get suspicious."
"Here, here!" said Kotohonou as she nodded in agreement.
Kurei was tired of being the silent one so he decided to join the conversation. "That’s why I have my mansion away from ‘civilization’. It’s not that far away from town, but just enough to keep people away. It’s very quiet there and I think…"
"That’s such a good idea!" said Kotohonou as she nodded at Kaosu, "Don’t you think so, Hana-sama?"
Kaosu smiled, "Why yes, I do! Thank you Kurei for that lovely invitation!"
"What invitation?" Kurei asked then realizing their plan, "Oh no! Listen Hana, Kotohonou, I think…"
"Kaosu-SAMA!!" Kotohonou yelled, "Only I’m allowed to call her Hana-sama."
"Let’s have a vote." Kaosu said, "All in favor of moving in with Kurei say ‘yay’. YAY!"
"YAY!" Kotohonou cheerfully said.
"All oppose say ‘nay’." Kaosu said.
"It’s my house! You can’t just…" Kurei said, but Kaosu interrupted him.
"Ok, none oppose! Let’s go!" Kaosu said as she got up from the table.
"I oppose! I oppose!" Kurei frantically said.
"Too late!" Kotohonou said.
"Well, thank you for dinner Kagero, but we must be going. Gotta pack!" Kaosu said.
Kaosu and Kotohonou grabbed Kurei and pulled him out of the house. The minute they left the house Recca was laughing hysterically.
