The Chaos Queen

By Kaosu

A New Home

"I want this room!" Kaosu said as she took the room on at the end of the hall. The room was located upstairs and to the left of the staircase. Her room was the last room on the left.

"Ok, then I want the room across from you!" Kotohonou said.

"Whose room is this?" Kaosu said as she peered into the room next to hers.

"Mine." Said a grumpy Kurei. He was caring three suitcases. One belonged to Kaosu and the other two belonged to Kotohonou.

"Nice." Kaosu said as she scanned his room.

"My room is as big as my apartment!" Kotohonou squealed.

"Listen," Kurei said, "I don’t know why you think you can barge in here and…"

"Oh," said Kaosu, "you think that? Well, I thought you would show SOME appreciation, I mean I did give you IMMORTALITY and I can easily take it away. Oh, you didn’t know that? Well, the only way you can die is if you kill yourself or I kill you, intentionally of course. One time I hit Kotohonou with a spear, but that was on accident so she didn’t die."

"Kurei is an immortal?" Kotohonou asked.

"Yes he is." Said Kaosu.

"Cool! We can be like the ‘Three’s Company’ people, only with two girls and one guy!" Kotohonou said as she started to break out into a song, "Come and knock on our door. We’ll be waiting for you…"

"Fine, you guys can stay." Kurei said.

"We are family. I got all my sisters and meee…" Kotohonou sang.

"There’s just this one problem," Kurei started, "My father had this ‘secret lab’ where he made clones of me. He didn’t think that I knew about, but I have not been able to find it and if the clones mature I’m sure they will come here and try and kill us."

"I see…" Said Kaosu, "Well, got to go." Kaosu headed towards the front door.

"Hana-sama, where are you going?" Asked Kotohonou.

"If I’m not back in, oh, let’s say a week…then…well…I’ll be back." Kaosu said as she left the house.

"Alright Kurei," Kotohonou began, "since our master is gone, I’m in charge, got that?"

"Whatever," Kurei said, "By the way, just out of curiosity, what’s Hana’s past? I mean. You were quite defensive tonight."

"It’s Hana-SAMA!"

"Fine, what’s Hana-SAMA’s past?"

"I don’t think you deserve to know. I don’t know you Kurei and I’m her best minion, and I don’t think it would be right if I told you. But I will tell you about our past."

Six days later

Kotohonou and Kurei shared stories about their past. Kotohonou found out that Kurei could be trusted and did share Kaosu’s past with him. She realized that Kaosu and Kurei weren’t that different. Kurei learned to call Kaosu "Hana-sama" and that only he and Kotohonou were even allowed to call Kaosu by her real name because they would be spending a lot of time together so they might as well call each other by their first name. Kurei and Kotohonou were sitting on the sofa in the living room having a discussion about whether or not to call the police about a missing person when all of a sudden the front door opened. They went into the hall and saw Kaosu. Her clothes were singed and a little torn.

"Boy, I’m tired! I’ll be right back, let me just take a shower first." Said Kaosu as she went up stairs.

Kurei and Kotohonou just stared at each other. They were silent and went back to the living room and sat back down. They were wondering where she went, and what happened to her, but they knew if they were patient she would tell them. Kaosu came down wearing a red shirt and blue jeans. She went into the kitchen and made herself a cup of hot cocoa and sat down across form Kurei and Kotohonou. She sipped her cocoa as Kotohonou and Kurei eagerly waited to hear her explanation.

"It really is a nice day don’t you think?" Kaosu said.

"Yes, it is." Kotohonou and Kurei said in unison.

"What have you too been up to? Getting acquainted I hope." Kaosu said as she continued to sip her hot cocoa.

"Oh, yes. Kurei isn’t that bad." Kotohonou said wondering why Kaosu was staling.

"Yeah, and I found out she isn’t that weird." Kurei said getting a little impatient.

"Good, good." Kaosu said as she sipped her drink and sighed.

"You know, this is quite a large house." Kaosu began, " We should get some paintings and hey maybe a pool table and…"

"FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!" Kurei couldn’t take her staling any longer, "Where have you been?"

"Uh…yes, I would like to know the answer of that too." Kotohonou said.

"I was wondering when you guys would ask that." Kaosu replied with a smile, "It’s actually a interesting story. I didn’t want to have any problems down the road and I decided to handle the ‘Kurei clone’ problem by myself. I figured if any clones did come to the house, you two could surly take care of them. Well, anyway, after 4 days of searching I found the secret lab. It’s actually over those hills and hidden deep in the forest. So I went in and low and behold, there were thousands of incubators with the words ‘Kurei’ written on them. I was able to kill most of them by shutting off their life support, but…oh…around 150 or so had matured. And to my surprise, they knew how to use that wonderful flame of yours. Man, it took me two whole days to defeat them! Two whole days!"

Kurei was shocked, it never occurred to him that she could be THAT powerful.

"Well, I’m quite tired so I’ll turn in for the day. Tomorrow, Kurei, we’ll start your training." Kaosu said as she got up and went upstairs to her room.
