Escaflowne is one of those have-to-see animes. For me it was one of the first I ever saw, and I still consider it one of the best. The characters are interesting, original, and lovable, while the story is quite unpredictable at most times. The animation, while not the most impresive I've seen, is still good. Need I also tempt you with the amazing soundtrack? It all adds up... you have to see this anime for yourself.
