Regulations

RULE 1:
Respect each other! If you have a problem with one of the members either let me know and I’ll deal with it or take it to email. Keep all In Character arguments In Character only! Each complaint against you is like a strike against your character, when you reach four strikes you’re banned for a week. If you come back and begin getting strikes again, I will report you to Ezboard and let them deal with you.

RULE 2:
No God-Moding or Power Playing or Meta-Gaming allowed. This means your character is not invincible, has no control over the actions of other characters not their own, and in no way tries to use information not directly given to them. You cannot read minds, your bones can break, and not everybody is going to like you. Everyone has flaws, including role-playing characters. That’s what keeps them interesting.

RULE 3:
If someone is going to hit you don’t always say you blocked. No one is perfect and sometimes you’ll have to take a hit. Plus give the second person time to post with what happens when in a battle. See the before mentioned rule about Power-Playing. You can only dictate your own character’s actions. It is up to the other role-player to decide their reaction. I.E. You can swing at them, but you must give the other the opportunity to dodge.
Also, no one is allowed to kill another character without permission. No if, ands, or buts about it.

RULE 4:
One-Liners are not allowed! We will not tolerate those who don’t seem to even try. All post must contain at least two paragraphs (three-five lines each). After two warnings, if you persist with your petty excuses of posts we may be forced to ask you to leave the forum. We have certain standards to keep. Also note that being long winded does not make up good posts. We encourage you to use as much detail as you possibility can in your role-play, but we do not expect a novel about the shape of a single tear.
And please reframe from role-playing in several different places at once. No one can be in two places at one time.

RULE 5:
Mature role-play is allowed. However, remember this is a public forum and many minors visit here and role-play on the forum, so try and keep it clean. Thank you.

RULE 6:
Swearing is allowed but at a minimum. Don't just swear then do nothing else or keep swearing when you can say something else. It gets annoying. Remember this is a privilege that can be taken away if need be.

RULE 7:
Guns are illegal! If you are found with a gun in your possession by an officer, such an offense is punishable by death. In other words, get creative! Guns are too easy. The only weapons allowed are medieval related. Only officers of the law are allowed to have guns though several Bounty Hunters, Assassins, and Night Hunters have been known to carry a gun.

RULE 8:
You can choose to be a normal human, gifted human, witch, shape-shifter, or a vampire . Choose wisely. Also, you cannot choose to be one of the Rings, we will choose you!
No Book, Game, Anime, Television, or Movie characters or based ones allowed. So don’t even try to bring them here!
If you wish to be an Accalian you need to email Accalia for permission.

RULE 9:
Vampires and witches have power, but they cannot snap their fingers and *boom* your dead. That is not allowed. So be creative. Plus the limit is five powers. Also, witches can have familiars and vampires can have a hell-hound. A hell-hound can be an animal, a golem, or a human. Golems only protect when the vampire is asleep.

RULE 10:
Last and best rule is for everyone just to have fun!

The Golden Rule of Accalians

All Accalian applications must be applied for through email to Accalia before posting on the forum. The email subject must contain the word ‘Accalian’ or it is likely to be ignored. Email: Accalia

The purpose of the e-mail application allows me to keep track of those who have Accalian characters. (They are not for use beyond this forum; for any reason) It lets me get to know the person hoping to play one of them and their abilities to come up with situations and changes to their character while at the same time staying true to it.

It also gives me a chance to help the person flesh out their Accalian character. This is a very strict process—one which I consider mandatory for all applicants. It allows me to point out places in their character’s history/description that would not seem appropriate for an Accalian. Not because I'm a starchy *itch, but because there are standards that must be met.

ALL Accalians bow under a matriarchal leadership—if your characters seem to somehow be out of this loop then I’ll need information as of Why and How this happened.
